Here's the ethics for this example.Nowhere did I say we should ban doxing. I did say twice that my comments were making no value judgement. The ethics of doxing are tricky and for me depend on the circumstances. Doxing the Youtube communist begging for superchats while living in a multi-million home(s)? Cool. Doxing a nobody who happens to have a bad take on something for no other reason than a "I know where you live now!" intimidation flex? Not cool. But that's just me and I don't make that call. I guess if you allow one you have to allow the other? Not sure, the ethics of doxing are tricky.
Doxing Hasan and identifying his home and other amenities is justified because it is used to prove that he is being hypocritical to his own political beliefs.
Doxing some random chickenshit with a bad take is not justified because it proves that the doxxer likely did it out of retaliation towards what they might have just said, as if to win an argument or to shut them up.
