You must be new - people have tried to help him improve his life before (including Kacey; who, though a troll, was one of the first who tried to encourage him to eat healthier/exercise more).

I still steadfastly believe that Chris' jaunty few years into the LBGTQ scene is his own ego trying to protect him from futher criticism. The LBGTQ crowd by defnition have to let Chris in with a warm welcome. Chris subconsciously knows this, and gravitates towards them as they can't reject him.
