It's a thing amongst folk who are profoundly insecure and shallow, yes.Serious question: is that a thing, leaving that authenticity tag on?

She has very little trunk strength to help her sit upright. Her chair is tipped back so she doesn't fall out.The way she sits folded in half and leaning forward is so unnatural and uncomfortable looking. Is it all because she doesn’t want to use the chest strap on the chair?
Yes and no. Cheaper diapers tend to have more poop blowouts or pee leaks. Or the straps fail more frequently leading to more changes.I'm not a mom, but I feel like you'd want to buy most things cheap for a baby. Not cheap as in crappy, but cheap as in inexpensive. Cheap food. Cheap clothes. Cheap diapers. The only stuff you wouldn't cheap out on is practical stuff like cribs and strollers.
Is she desperate and unethical enough to provide him with drugs to get him back in her pocket if the fancy steaks don’t do the trick?
She doesn't have fucking bowls for her baby in her new apartment. You can get entire sets of dishes at Target for like $5. There's no way Ari is living with her.
Generic isnt always bad though. The costco brandof diapersis better then name brand, i think, imo
That's the word I was looking for - "generic". In my experience, generic is rarely ever significantly different from name brand. Stuff diapers, wipes, and other single-use items that you need to use a lot of (I can't even imagine how many hundreds of diapers a single baby would go through) are the things you'd really want to get the most bang for your buck on. A crib is a proper piece of furniture that you can get years of use out of with multiple babies. That's the kind of thing you'd loosen the purse strings for. A singular meal that your baby will forget by the end of the day? Nah. She's not even old enough to appreciate an expensive meal. As cute as Ari is, if I pay good money for a meal at an expensive restaurant, I will not be pleased if there's a squealing baby at the other table.Generic isnt always bad though. Seeing an OT or PT would mean she would have to admit she is disabled. She screams from the rooftop that she's disabled but won't do the bare minimum to maintain her body. She has very little trunk strength to help her sit upright. Her chair is tipped back so she doesn't fall out.
Who knows when she last saw an Occupational Therapist to adjust her chair, or a Physiotherapist to help her maintain her strength and balance.
Costco usually is a brand name product, just with the Kirkland name slapped on it. Same with a lot of beauty products and food from Trader Joes, just an FYI.Yes and no. Cheaper diapers tend to have more poop blowouts or pee leaks. Or the straps fail more frequently leading to more changes.

I just realised we have never heard mention of any mother's groups or anything like that. Is that a thing in the US? I know they moved, but when you have your well baby checks I assume the Nurse could help link you with a local group.
alright. I’m gonna go on a mini rant mostly about Reddit.
Ari turned 1. Yay! There’s a TikTok of her and squishy Hitler singing Ari happy birthday. The comments are fucking insane. I know she probably doesn’t have Ari 90% of the time, and she’s a shit mom.
But fucking hell.
Ari is a year old, you aren’t obligated to throw an IG worthy bday even if you’re an “influencer”
I can try to upload the video later. Am retarded with that tho. Plz tell me if this is fucked up upon uploading lmfao.

The weird circle jerk of Reddit is forever fascinating to watch
Honestly, Alex not throwing a one-year-old a lavish party is one of the more relatable and laudable things I've seen in a while. If that was her main party, which I doubt.
Ari doesn't give two shits about a "birthday sash" and the cake thing looks fine.
is throwing parties for your one yr old common in the US?Honestly, Alex not throwing a one-year-old a lavish party is one of the more relatable and laudable things I've seen in a while. If that was her main party, which I doubt.

Ari does still have that "itchy" red look about her face and limbs and I hope they're figuring it out with her doc - OR it could be a filter artifact. Not sure. Either way I'm not about to call CPS, just hoping they have at least some Benadryl on hand for when it's bad (but let's face it, they DEFINITELY have Benadryl on hand for Ari).

Social media has rotted everyone’s brains. One year olds aren’t making memories and do not need elaborate celebrations. Redditards screeching that it’s unfair that Alex (an adult woman with relatively little time left alive) would have a bigger birthday celebration than a BABY are just showing their ass online.is throwing parties for your one yr old common in the US?
lots of my peers have kids now, and most people either don't do a 1st bday party at all, or have a small get-together with their fam. at that age they're too small to remember anything or appreciate a party, they're more likely to be irritated by the noise and the amount of people there. kids start getting real birthday parties for the 3rd/4th bday, when they can actually have fun at a party.
reddit moms do way too much, they're definitely helicopter parents who won't let their kids breathe, and then wonder why their little wonder can't do shit for themselves when they're a bit older.
There are two groups of folks I know in the US who do super lavish parties for one-year-olds: Social Media influencer-wannabe types who do it for the photos, and Mexicans. Although the Mexicans generally do huge parties for just about anything (no judge, sounds fun), and their one-year-old parties are more like a reason for a huge family get together like @blue gopher snakes noted. But they are huge parties.is throwing parties for your one yr old common in the US?
