the problem is its a game for casuals, you're not supposed to force hard consequences for stealth in these games. they've been dumbed down every new game. remember in the first one when it was a legit accomplishment to counter with your hidden blade? or how you could really only stealth with certain groups you unlocked. And despite all of that you still had random citizens that could destealth you?

Iirc, there was a comic about a Russian Assassin during the early 1900's who recruited Tesla to be his science man. The Tunguska Event was Tesla setting off a massive electrical discharge to destroy a Precursor artifact under Templar control.

Polygon's article mentions nothing about the Japanese parliment discussing the game. The author of the newest article says he translated the Japanese reviews himself? Probably not a great idea. I'd link the article, but I'm phone posting.

The whole game seems to be trying so hard to not be racist that it circles around to being racist. Bravo, Ubisoft. I guess they decided Basketball Americans would spend more on AC:Niggas vs Japanese spending on AC:Ninjas.

Assassin's Creed Shadows; from the perspective of a black, gay man.

Now first of all, I do be a big assassin's creed fan since like 2006, of course I was VERY excited for the release of Shadows, featuring my goat YASUKE!

I am very dissappointed however, with how the alt right has overtaken the internet and are just spreading hate and bigotry. These ''real gamers'' just continue to spread hate and misinformation. Elden Ring is trash, buy Assassin's Creed Shadows for a TRUE open world experience. At least you don't have to constantly fight the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bosses over and over again. You could pre-order some in-game currency to buy better gear, which makes this game way more fun. Seriously, this is the most fun I HAVE EVER HAD WITH ANY GAME EVER! At least I'm not being ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sideways by some big golden knight or ''ayslum demon''. The graphics are absolutely GORGEOUS, the music is AMAZING and the story is really really REALLY great thus far, still not as good as the Last of Us 2.

RETURN TO FORM! That is the ONE phrase I would use to describe ubisofts masterpiece. They've really outdid themselves this time! Thank you so so sooo much for making this game ubisoft! Go ahead, stick it to those haters! 2 MILLION PLAYERS. Literally, ''go woke go broke'' lmao stfu ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fake gamers. Guess you're gonna miss out on playing the game of the year

The plot to Resistance Fall of Man was that the Tunguska meteor was actually the beginning of an alien invasion (the aliens, consuming all in their path under one hive mind, metastasizing in Russia, likely being an allegory for the spread of Communism).

The more time goes on, the more I'm entirely convinced Microsoft and Ubisoft had a deal in practice which was basically shit on from a great height when the ABK merger went under so much scrutiny. I remember Ubisoft+ was a tacked on feature for GamePass which suggested they were working REAL close. But then again they could legitimately just be this fucking stupid from the top down and managed to self sabotage by complete incompetence.

Microsoft also has a deal with EA Play for their stupid game subscription service as well.

All Microsoft cares about at this point is getting more gamepass subscribers especially on PC(that's why they kept doing the 3 month gamepass giveaways for like 4 years on discord plus dozens of other promo offers). It's the engagement they want because it's a market they've been trying to break into for ages. Same reason Sony got stupid and forced helldivers 2 players to sign up for PSN accounts. It's just another attempt to crack the steam playerbase and get users to their own platforms, just like epic investing so much money into being able to give away free games to try and lure people to epic game store. It's all Sony and MS have left with so few console exclusives anyone gives a shit about and even most of those end up on PC now.
