While my contempt for blobby boy has been made very evident by my previous posts on this thread and beyond and I have taken great joy at how often he gets spat on by those he looks up to, this exchange between him and shaun has awakened the barest feeling of defensiveness over the treatment bob has been receiving from people like shaun and his breadtube buddies.

These people helped make the toxic position of "everyone who disagrees with us on any issue or says things our clique have arbetraily deemed problematic is a disgusting subhuman nazi who deserves to be violently silenced and have their lives destroyed in perpetuity" fashionable in their shitty sphere of the internet, and yet when bob simply takes this shit to the logical extreme demanded by such alarmist extremes, they recoil and disown him despite having effectively been saying and adcovating the exact same shit, only with a "LOLSOSNARKY" angle.

Its pure goddamn snobbery. They see their participation in this disengenuous demagoguery as a trendy accessory, and see moviebob's use of it as a vulgar and lower-class imitation, even though fundamentally its the exact same fucking thing.

Hell, one could even argue that when the position of "our enemies our inhuman nazi monsters who are going to murder all minorities" is taken, even if completely disingenuously, the only justified public response would be to loudly chimp out about having to mercilessly fight and destroy them as bob does....obviously moviebob is all talk no action in this regard, but atleast he is trying to actually play along with the implications of the "its us vs THE SUPER DUPER RAPE NAZI REICH!" bullshit

There is much to recommend this analysis. Since the Trumpocalypse the left has gone crazy, and since the Floyd thing they have gone utterly around the bend. But they still crave a veneer of acceptability and rationality, and since Bob is notably lacking in both those things, he has gone even further (if only rhetorically, since Bob can't probably attend a protest without having an arrhythmia). For years I've said it's not fair to tar the left with Bob's lunacy, but increasingly his crazy takes aren't actually that far off anymore. It's just that he's personally repulsive and has no filter, so even now he makes a great, big fat target to point to and say, "Look how crazy he is! He wants the Germans to invade Poland!"

Nowadays they deserve Bob much more than they used to, and it is more than a little irritating to see them disavowing him for expediency. You guys bought this asshole; you own him.

It's amazing that Bob clearly doesn't distrust angry, vicious mobs on principle; he just cares what team they're rooting for.

Yes, "no bad tactics" and all that, but it takes an extraordinarily ignorant brain not to realize that mobs tend to get out of control and target the wrong people, either in error or because what they really care about is violence and not ideology.

You're right and I agree with you. Everyone is terrible and they are all cut from the same idiotic cloth. The only thing I would say in Shaun, or anyone else's, defense is that Bob is a retard who never seems to shut up and takes the LARP as seriously as life and death which tends to turn people away from the cause. It is slimy of them to turn him away because he says the quiet part by screaming and at least pretends to believe in the ultimate end goal of all of this, albeit to serve his own self interests and no greater means (I believe at least).

The reason I do not care, and I imagine most of us might agree, is that Bob is as big of disingenuous shit as the rest of them and this is the future he earned. Here's another example to throw upon the pile:

There's a reason several people on this thread have said Robert's real sin with Breadtube is saying the quiet part out loud. He couples some of the things far leftists say with things they're very careful not to say. While Breatubers are always careful to portray right wingers as the aggressors and big mean bullies, Robert freely admits that the right is marginalized in the media and consigned to various designated conservative and dissident ghettos, that lots of Trump voters are lower on the economic and social totem pole, that billionaires and large corporations are largely on the side of the Democratic Party and social justice, and he revels in it. Most of the far left is built on the emotional appeal of being the underdog, fighting for the little guy, and sticking it to the big bad bully. So when Robert says, "Nah, we are the bullies and it's fucking awesome! Bully these people more!" that's a problem. It undermines leftists' sense of self. Even the ones who are smart enough to know the true nature of the game hate to be reminded of it, and definitely don't want it to be shouted from the rooftops. This is nothing new. When commies came to power across the world, they always labelled dissidents counterrevolutionaries even though once they'd consolidated their own power and put their own system into place, that label made no sense whatsoever. Because it's very important to the psychology of the leftist masses to feel like the underdog, fighting against the system.

It's also easy for them to feel morally superior kicking Robert for all his statements that are an embarrassment to the movement, because while they're motivated by realpolitik Robert is very obviously motivated by hate. So in that way they can feel morally superior to Robert even as many of them push for similar things to happen to their political enemies. Morally absolving yourself because of your motives instead of your results is a very prominent mindset on the left, after all.

I think people are missing the simple answer for why breadtube and other leftists dislike Bob. Bob is an unlikeable cunt, and he has no practical use. His channel is fairly small and stagnant, he has no powerful or influential friends/contacts, and despite all the time he spends on Twitter he doesn't have much of a following. Bob is simply unpleasant to be around and brings nothing to the table to make it worth tolerating him.

This is all perfectly true, but it's interesting to explore the things that make Bob worse than merely unlikable, and actually destructive to the causes he claims to champion.
