Pretty much - the concept of Universities (if my memory doesn't fail me) comes from the Middle Ages, and it were learning centers. Now it is (dis)information centers so midwits can confirm their biases and think of themselves learned because they have diplomas.I blame current education institutions for being mostly adult day care and reeducation centers. Go back a centaury and you'll see a drastic difference in the quality of educated individuals. Now that anyone can take out a loan and earn a diploma in whatever useless field they ponied up for, society had to place the useless people somewhere and unfortunately many of them are working in education.
When I first learned about sweet baby inc and where they came from I genuinely said out-loud:Canada's #1 export is faggotry.

I remember a long time ago when I was in school, the teacher asked "would you rather be an independent lion or a collectivist sheep" and most of the class answered the sheep. Obviously I didn't understand what the question really meant at the time and only picked the lion because I thought lions were cool, but I remembered this story recently and it really paints how sheep-like the average Canadian is.Tbh, all learning institutions were and are indoctrination centers. The difference today is that learning institutions are proactively teaching the future into self suicide.
The correct answer is the Sheep dogI remember a long time ago when I was in school, the teacher asked "would you rather be an independent lion or a collectivist sheep" and most of the class answered the sheep. Man, these guys went autistically deep to uncover the truth on SBI. Great work on their part. Go figure the Canadian Government was behind it's creation. It would explain why they stuck around even after USAID was killed.Canada's #1 export is faggotry.

Also Canada post going on strike for like the 3rd time in a one year period is a pretty accurate depiction of the country at large
I actually have a story with Canada Post. Also Canada post going on strike for like the 3rd time in a one year period is a pretty accurate depiction of the country at large
When I got a very expensive professional certification, the certifying body sent me my physical certificate via USPS Priority Document service. Canada Post has no equivalent, so they took it and handled it as Standard Letter, including folding the fucking envelope in half and cramming it in my mailbox.I actually have a story with Canada Post.
I bought a vinyl on Discogs from the US, which was delivered to “a local sorting facility” and sent out be dropped off by a delivery van the same day the strike happened. The tracking history stated that the parcel left the sorting facility and then, after around ten minutes, stated that it could not be delivered due to “the error in receiver’s credentials” (the address was correct - I later verified it with the seller). I went to my nearest post office, assuming that the parcel was dropped off at the nearest CP location to my house, since I had no clue where my item is and the robot on the customer support line is useless - the clerk at the post office was not even given directions on what to do and was seeming just put there to sell postmarks.
Several weeks have passed and when the strike was finally finished my tracking history got updated, now stating that my parcel is being sent back (for some reason). I’ve called the support again and was told, that I have to contact the sender, since Canada Post can’t do anything after the parcel is sent back. The seller, upon receiving my parcel, said that the packaging got all soaked in water and he doesn’t want to send it over again - he then apologized and decided to give me a full refund. Since that day I’ve started to despise Canada Post just as much as I despise LCBO.

This is a far cry compared to things from 65 up to 125 years ago and beyond. It seemed like if you see stamps, mail and things from that era was handled with care and seriousness, or at least the stories my grandfather used to tell about the Anglo world had some slant with favouritism towards the seriousness (He was born in 1943, so earlier than the time frame I speak of). When I got a very expensive professional certification, the certifying body sent me my physical certificate via USPS Priority Document service. I complained to Canada Post, and they blamed the sender for not sending it at the right level to have been handed off as a Purlator delivery instead of Canada Post and refused to compensate me for a certificate with a replacement cost of over $100.00.
The envelope had DO NOT BEND OR FOLD on it in huge print in multiple places.
Fuck Canada Post.
Unfortunately for me, my Wage Slavery takes some deliveries through Canada Post - generally shit sold via third party, but still.Canada Post workers are the laziest niggas out there. They usually only work 4-6 hours a day and then go home but they get paid for the full day. Canada Post is basically obsolete and inefficient like most government ran operations. They have the easiest job imaginable and has been made easier by other shipping companies taking away some of the workload and they still can't deliver packages and mail in a timely manner. During Christmas nobody I know used them to ship of deliver mail and they fucked themselves by showing they are not a reliable company so a ton of people will not be using their services again.
Just before christmas, I had bought a GPU and it was in the middle of being shipped during the strike. I waited an extra month before it arrived an when it arrives, there is a literal gash in the middle of the parcel, cutting into the gpu box. One of the fans where broken, but luckily the seller had the postage insurance, so I was able to get compensation, still only after hours of back and fourth with canada post and yelling on the phone.I actually have a story with Canada Post.
