So, since Chris pretty much confessed to his crimes in the letter, is it certain Chris will get a guilty sentence? And if so, does that mean prison?
Hello, person new to the thread. We can only speculate about what sort of punishment Chris will be on the line for here. It depends on what charges Chris is found guilty for and how lenient the judge decides to be. Chris hasn't had a real court hearing yet, much less a sentencing, so we won't know of his fate for several more months yet.

Chris can be moved to prison or unleashed on society and responsible for STAYING on meds -- if those are proven to work. If nothing else it'll teach him how to pretend the treatments are working, if just to avoid the side effects and doing what he hates, instead of being encouraged to be as crazy as possible for the lulz/money/attention.
Staying on the meds is a great point. The only long-term pretending that we know Chris capable of is LARPing (which I consider an extension of trooning) where Chris is actively trying to convince himself as much as anyone else. Having the thought in his mind that he's an interdimensional pangender cartoon jesus while presenting himself as sane to the outside world would cause a lot of Stress.

I think its more Chris to tard rage until they find the right combination to sedate him, then he'll realize he's a weirdo in a rubber room instead of a world famous goddess and stop taking them.

Chris isn't some dweeb that was an easy target and that somehow made him into a bad person, Chris was a dweeb who already was a bad person. One could argue his social awkwardness is a result of his bad personality, not the other way around. His slavish devotion to trends, his lack of any self-improvement, his disregard for and envy of others, and his self-centeredness made the man we see today.
Indeed. Very much in the same mold as Yanny the Tranny in this regard. "Genuinely evil monster of selfishness" and "fucking retard" are completely distinct qualities--although the latter quality can make the former more entertaining when both are present.

That he also happens to be a fat, ugly autistic retard is no reason to feel sorry for a genuinely evil monster of selfishness.

I noticed that it follows a pattern. When Chris is at the pinnacle of popularity or achieving something extraordinary for a retard, he does shit like this. It's almost as if the universe has a way of putting Chris in his place to outweigh the whiteknighting. Take note, anyone who wishes to whiteknight Chris; even God hates him.
A lot of people have defended him, at least in my opinion, either because they felt that the dude was being manipulated, and that trolling him was just tired and tryhard, and/or there was some empathy for someone who was fairly retarded and was not given the proper resources and opportunities to successfully acclimate to life. Growing up, i met a few kids like that, and it's hard to not kinda feel bad about their situation.

But yeah, it's kind of hard to defend a literal motherfucker at this point. Especially if his mother was specifically saying "no".

The only possible way the defense can hope of getting this letter dismissed as evidence now, is if heilburg can convince the court that Chris's autism made him take the Miranda right "to remain silent" literally, and he didn't comprehend that statement includes anything written down and mailed oUt.
You guys are assuming that the prosecutor actually gives enough of a fuck to do a little bit of actual work on the case--which is in fact highly unlikely if they already have what they need to get some kind of conviction and don't get the sense that the case might somehow make them famous. While it is far from impossible, I truly doubt that the letter will even come into play.

I found out about this new development when re-watching the "Down The Rabbit Hole" video about Christian and new comments made mention of it.

I have feelings about CWC. I don't know a lot about his past, aside from what I've seen in Fredrik's video (which I understand leaves out a lot), but I can't help but feel some level of pity for him. He clearly has very troubling mannerisms and has displayed aggression, such as when he implied he would have raped Megan and attacking Michael Snyder, so I know he is not a blameless angel. But, as a comment on the Something Awful thread pointed out years ago, at the end of the day, he does have a genuine mental disorder.

I don't know enough about the circumstances to say how much Chris is responsible for his actions in this whole mess. But I am sad to see that it has gotten to this point. But maybe prison will be good for Chris in some ways. It's clear that he's needed someone or something to take control of him for awhile.
Some of the things Chris has done have been the result of things he cannot control. Some of the things Chris has done have been the result of manipulation by malicious parties. Some of the things Chris has done have been the result of his own stupidity. Some of the creepier things Chris has done have actually just been harmless and only seem particularly weird because of how awkward he is. Some of the creepier things Chris has done have been genuinely weird and worthy of more scrutiny. Which of these labels applies to any given situation/action is a determination which every observer must make individually after careful examination and (maybe) debate with others. People are probably only "wrong" when they attempt to explain the entirety of Chris's life with one simple line (he's dumb, he's autistic, he's a sexual deviant, etc.). It would also be "wrong" to claim that all the worst possible interpretations of past events must necessarily be true because the Motherfucker Saga, a current event, is so horrible and clearly Chris's fault.

Yeah you don't hear rehabilitation programs and American prison systems used in the same sentence much, if at all.
Your avatar indirectly made me think of how much Chris reminds me of the emperor Honorius.

Both retreated into their own sheltered delusional gated headspace as the world was blowing apart around them.
Both were propped up by a marginally competent custodian singlehandedly keeping a shadow of stability in place - and were rewarded by being subsequently thrown completely under the bus for not being suitably sycophantic.
Both made creepy sexual advances on their relatives and ultimately provided nothing in the way of succession.
Both completely in spite of themselves have lingered around so ungodly long that one can chart out the historical reaction in real time from amusement to anger to boredom to unfathomable depression.

If only Chris had pet roosters instead of dogs...
