There are thousands upon thousands of great examples vintage and contemporary, and these projects were generally not considered 8/10s on release, but are still cherished and everlasting because they were made with thoughtfulness and care, in a personal way by close knit teams. Lol what a mess. I can't image any other fit than a lapboard. I don't know if he ever had the drive. I'm under the impression it took him catching his second wind to muster up just enough energy to release what we have now. He blew it, and if he would've gone that OPM route everyone would've had to ultimately respect SUPERKILLER because that is valid, ideal and admirable. It wouldn't have been pretty, but he had that chance to create a completely unique personal artifact. He could've pasted up his references with retouching, used real toning paper, leaned in to the inconsistencies, just relaxed and accepted his place in the world, but no it is over. He doesn't even own the art, which may be computer based at that, so nonexistent. All immediacy and intimacy was forfeited by the mindless consumer Christopher, a guy with his eye on the resale market. I think it's been said in other ways in this thread before, but he does indeed make Chris Chan look like Jack Kirby or James Joyce.
