China now requires a special permit to export silver outside of China. This has caused a run in the HK silver market on the 31st/1st.

This legislation was passed back in October but it just went to force. There are rumors of a ban for silver exports to the USA that is unstubstantiated.

Here's the link to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce announcement (archive).
V) Export licenses are required for the export of [...] silver, platinum (exported through processing trade), indium and indium products, [...] exported through the above trade methods, require export licenses based on import customs documents and export contracts.

VI) For the export of goods listed in paragraph five under processing trade arrangements, unless otherwise stipulated, an export license shall be applied for with the relevant approval documents, customs import declaration form for processing trade, and the goods export contract.

A cyberhacker operating under the handle "Martha Root" attended the recent Chaos Communications Congress (A very long running and well known German based hacker conference/club) and allegedly hacked a white-focused dating website live while dressed as a Pink Power Ranger:


“I infiltrated a racist dating site and made nazis fall in love with robots”

The hacker is supposedly Antifascist aligned, is British and allegedly operated AI/LLM-driven bots to socially engineer the dating website's userbase into handing over as much personal information as possible as well as "phonebooked" not only the owner of the website but also all of its users. They created a website (okstupid.lol) where they uploaded all information, including geolocation, photos and other dating profile stuff.

The hacked website was "whitedate.net". It is unknown whether the superhacker also aims to target matrimonial and dating websites that cater to non-white races or if they have heard of the Streisand affect. In a sad note for diversity it is worth mentioning that "whitedate.net"'s alleged operator was a woman and I'm not sure whether it's very kosher to be targeting female owned businesses in this day and age.
