Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

I wouldn't call it a disaster, considering the reviews coming out for it are saying that game is great, but it's slightly more buggier than skyrim. The sands of time remake is going to be a trainwreck though.
Definitely more of a rough landing that resulted in all the dignitaries being forced to unflatteringly tumble down the emergency chutes in front of the waiting crowd. Not quite the rockstar entry they had hoped for.

The tour will go on, but they'll hopefully make up for it...

I just can't with this fucking game lmao.

Compare Cyberpunk (2020) with GTA IV ( 2008 )

12 years of difference. How the fuck does GTA 4 still hold up so good today and how is it more technologically advanced than a game from 2020? Bro.
IMO even GTA V still lacks some of the systems that made GTA IV great (i.e. Euphoria system). IV is still one of my standards for an immersive city world.

GTA has actual thought put in its gameplay, as opposed to "afterthought". You don't play GTA for aesthetics or story. You do it to run people over, bang prostitutes and to see just how far you can push yourself being a mass murderer.

Few hours in and it's clear not only did the programmers and QA people from TW3 depart the writers did too. It's not horrible but it's nowhere near as good as TW3's writing. Also Skillup is correct in that Reeves is badly miscast as Johnny Silverhand.

Jesus, that kinda blows. The Witcher 3 had really good red Herrings.

So does anyone know if the literal v1.0 is available/leaked somewhere? I'd love to play the "gold master" as it was, not these Lucas-esque patched revisions that remove all the quirks that make it lovable.

Edit: To clarify, the preload thing is 1.02 or so I believe.

Fully agree. Even the driving felt better in GTA IV, the cars felt like they actually had things like weight and suspension. The city felt alive and the AI was much better than it is in V, particularly the cops. If you replay IV and pay attention you can notice little things like how the police AI will drag a fallen officer to safety, they will try to peacefully arrest you if you're under 3 stars instead of just gun you down, shit they even do random stop and searches and if they're arresting an NPC they'll have a backup officer and actually arrest them. If Rockstar were to remaster IV it would probably set new records for sales of a remastered game and would be a contender with any new title coming out that year.

Apparently the cops literally spawn behind you, so if you commit a crime with your back against a wall they'll never come. I'll try test it when I load the game back up

The Codex version is prepatched to 1.03

Trust me, the loveable quirks are still there.

Those things are in GTA V also.

Definitely so- it feels like NPCs react appropriately to your actions, which is what's the most important thing about any open-roam game.

There have been so many GTA IV vs V comparisons, but this one is the more famous one:

IMO I think one of the issues blocking a remaster is that for some godforsaken reason, a lot of landmark buildings now have copyrights placed on them. For instance, they couldn't get the Chrysler Building for the new SpiderMorales game because the building was sold and the new owners wanted more $$$ for it.

Same with the Division, with the Empire State Building:

My guess is that the numbers have been crunched, and a 'remastered' GTA IV might not pull in the amount of money needed to make it worth it due to the increased costs in comparison to a new GTA VI, and that all hands are needed on deck for GTA V1 (like with RDR2).
