Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

It's release day, and I saw some on discord complaining that it crashes on start up on DirectX 11 machine. Idiots do it to themselves at this point.

Can we stop derailing the thread with autistic comparisons to F:NV?
No.

@WinchesterPremium is right. This is what happens when you hold up one as the gold standard of a genre and do an apples-to-apples checklist style comparison. Of course that one game (New Vegas) is going to come up short in places, especially if you've not played it in years and are seeing the game through rose tinted glasses.

My expectations for this game were a 5-10 hour main quest, bunch of side content with factions and replayability. Gameplay being something like a more polished version of New Vegas/The Outer Worlds. With the exception of bugs, so far everything seems to be panning out more or less as I expected. (Thanks Kiwi reviewers)

200+ pages of shitting on the game and everyone is posting their download time remaining after buying it
Just like ResetEra.

There have been so many GTA IV vs V comparisons, but this one is the more famous one:
One problem I have with comparisons is they never include actual gameplay. Does the GTA comparison show having to take your cousin bowling every 5 minutes? The Far Cry 2 vs Far Cry 3 comparison video doesn't show Far Cry 2 being mostly tedious travel with enemies that respawn when you walk 20ft away and enemies seeing you from 5 miles away through heavy jungle.

I'll take fun but less realistic over autistic realism details that don't add to the gameplay and only exist for these kinds of comparison videos.

And as shown at the start, fanboys getting salty when a comparison doesn't go their way. Something that you don't have to worry about in a video where anything that doesn't go your way can be edited out and ignored.

Not bowling but both Legacykiliahd and Skillup said story npcs call you literally every five minutes trying to sell you used cars.

Well my friend bought it last night and I stopped by his place to watch him play it. He just finished the rescue and so far the only glitches I've noticed were Jackie walking through a locker at some point and it kind of blew open, and then when he got back to his apartment his V was naked without a dick when he looked in the mirror, but when he looked down he was fully clothed.

Not the dumpster fire I was expecting from the videos I saw.

Yeah, I'm actually thinking I might buy it based on the bit I've played at my friends house.

I get it isn't a hardcore RPG, but like...neither was Witcher 3. This is about what I expected it to be.
I mean if you are on the fence you could always wait a couple months for the patches and a discount.

I haven't experienced anything gamebreaking, but I did die when I got flung 15 feet horizontally while jumping over a bench.

People on twatter keep defending the PS4/XB1 issues under the logic of "well that's your fault for playing on an old system, you pleb!"

Uh, no, queefsniffers, that's not the consumer's fault for believing a developer would be competent enough to make a game that runs well without crashes and game breaking bugs after having access to the systems it's supposed to run on for 7 fucking years.

Then there's people like this making this kind of retarded statement, in a world where Red Dead Redemption 2, Doom Eternal, FFVII remake, etc exist:

I don't even care so much about the insignificant glitches like the clipping or NPCs holding four chopsticks. Shit, some of my favorite games are Bethesda games, that should be enough said. But what I can't agree with is this notion that it's acceptable to release a AAA game after 8 years of development and rush out a product that suffers crippling fps drops, random and frequent crashes and shit like that.
I hope CDPR is able to fix these issues but who knows.
It was initially developed for PS4/XB1 and PC before being pushed back to include the newer systems. Why are you not consooming fast enough and upgrading your console sounds unbelievably privileged. I would love to spend 500+ bucks on a new system, guess what, that cuts into an already tight budget thanks to Covid recession. There is more important shit than consooming. I'll buy this next year or whenever these glitches get patched.

Waiting seems like a solid choice. Hardware will cycle a bit as well if you are considering upgrades.

UMM CYBERBROS?

THIS IS NOT GOOD. THE METASCORE HAS FALLEN TO 90

THIS MEANS THAT THERE ARE 11 GAMES BETTER THAN CYBERPUNK JUST THIS YEAR

SPELUNKY 2 IS BETTER THAN YOUR BIGGEST GAME OF THE DECADE CALLED CYBERFLOP

I want to see the console specific review come out.

Game is a blurry 720p mess and runs at Fallout 4 level cinematic 19 fps during actions scenes.
