DC American Airlines crash

The National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees (NBCFAE, yuck) is a shady DEI organization that's been accused of actions that lower the standards and capabilities of the ATC profession in general.
"Shieeeeeeeeet! Tyrone! they dun hit each other!"

Oh nooo the entire board of IRS higher ups were on that plane, they were transporting all their financial paperwork on who owed them money, oh nooooooo.
If only we were so blessed.

Wild card theory that has .00001% chance of being true: an upset military troon hijacked the helicopter and rammed into the plane in a fit of rage.

lol now comes the narrative fight on whether this is DEI or that Trump's executive order is somehow already taking its toll on ATCs.

This looks simply like a freak accident, however, I am pretty interested in seeing the passengers that were on the plane.
Supposedly some teenage figure skaters and their coaches and other entourage.

The only way these fucking things hit each other is because they were authorized by the tower to do so safely. The only people there with the information to accurately make that call are the controllers. They know your heading, altitude, airspeed, pitch, etc., and they are responsible for telling pilots exactly what, where, and when. There's also a plethora of audio recordings from the last decade of what sounds to be black/Hispanic women giving pilots bad information and the pilots arguing with them. One that comes to mind is a lady arguing with a pilot because she's telling him to land on a runway where planes are actively taking off. Had he not argued with her, something like this would have likely happened.

Be prepared to find out this is because some retard that should have never been there wasn't doing their job. That, or there was some kind of catastrophic equipment failure that was giving the tower inaccurate information, but it didn't sound like it from the short audio recording. Fuck the 9 second clip. I'd like to hear everything the tower said from the time the jet established communication with the tower.

Edit- A former pilot in one of the other treads makes a very compelling argument that the helicopter pilots are likely at fault. Some of his points nullify mine and I definitely defer to his expertise. I worked on the ground, not in the air.
I thought to add to this but that airspace is highly restricted and is quite tightly packed due to the traffic coming in and out. The CRJ was doing a standard side step approach into 33 from ILS from 01. Standard procedure at the airport. What I should comment below is a video by Blancolirio which covers the topic well from his view point and having limited intel. Current boing 777 pilot who has been in the aviation industry for well over 2-3 decades by now, so he is knowledgeable.

He comes to a similar conclusion that the helicopter pilot may have likely been at fault as there is an actual ATC transcript in the video. It does go by quite quickly and if I am rather honest, this issue has happened before due to pushing through stupid hispanics/africans into ATC to try and act as stopgaps due to all the older controllers retiring. However, ATC asked if they have visual reference with the CRJ, then proceed to give it clearance despite contact not being established. They then ask the heli to pass behind the CRJ, not try and go through its glideslope/approach into the airport. This means they should have gone right and stuck to the east bank of the river. Usually the pilots however are given special privileges to pass over the river unobstructed but this seems to usually be a semi-open corridor only used during certain events or if traffic permits it.

don't believe either aircraft carries a radar package, and they were flying at night, likely through a combination of instruments, sight, and specific directions from the tower.
This is untrue, the CRJ has TCAS and likely the UH being retrofitted as well. However, the main issue is that below 1000ft the TCAS will not give guidance as to wether to climb or descend due to proximity to the ground. This should be also coupled with that this was allegedly a training flight. Yes, an alledged training flight. If so, my guess is that the instructors did not do their job and the crew fell into an illusion, likely the CRJ being level with the lights of buildings up and down the river, and did not see them coming since it would mean the co-pilot (closest in relative position to the aircraft) would need to crane over and look. Either that or they had some form of selective hearing or blindness, something else. We might never know since I am unsure if their transponder was on let alone it has CVR.

Wikipedia has already made a graphic to try and show the paths

There is a place for helis to take off near the white house, but I am unsure if they came up there. it is possible the crew was tired and likely had a case of "get it on the ground" and the illusions+fast pace/non caring mindset led to this. Complacency? Who knows.
EDIT: Wikipedia is claiming the heli came from Davison army airfield, indicating this was likely a final approach for the UH was well.
Also transponder for the UH was not being properly displayed.

That's a nasty bird strike.

crew fell into an illusion
100% believe that ATC and the helo are fault. Both were complacent and got people killed.
Flight hours in Army are considered training if you aren't performing a mission. You really can't make the assumption that the pilots are new. I'm not sure what the regs are now but I do remember there being a required set of day flight hours before being allowed night flight training. There is equipment and SOP to help prevent this shit especially around busy flight lines. No amount of safety nets can prevent human stupidity.

Not to conspiracy-post too hard, but it does seem odd this now makes the 3rd incident where service members (active and inactive) caused or attempted mass casualties domestically. The other two are in regards to the bourbon street attack and the trump tower attack.

It's just horrible coincidence, really.

Bourbon Steet was caused by a guy who got radicalized and was thinking about killing his own family.

Trump Tower was a guy who was having an extreme mid-life crisis and was not there mentally - his suicide note sounds like his actions were intended to be a rallying cry for Trump supporters, but car bombing one of the properties named after Trump is a counter-intuitive way of doing it. I also vaguely recall reading he may have had brain damage from a head injury taken while deployed.

This mid-air crash definitely sounds like it's jointly on ATC and the helicopter pilot. I'm no flight expert but the helicopter shouldn't have been anywhere near that approach vector for the plane.

It's retarded that they've allowed these helicopters to fly so close to the runway for this long. It should literally be a no-flyzone at points of take off and landing for airports. Even if it's military or VIP, they still should be in contact with atc and flying safely. Evidently this has been a repeat issue with too many close calls there. What a retarded and easily avoided disaster this is.

I'm seeing reports on Twitter that the plane had members of the US Figure Skating team on board as well as a Russian Figure Skating pair....
I found these from Instagram. One is a statement from a skating club who had members on the flight.
The Instagram story that is now also being posted on Xitter is from Spencer Lane I believe.
