@Harbinger of Kali Yuga I would also like to see less plastic everywhere involving food (and I bet taste and smell of cheese can be negatively affected by how it's sealed) there are two products in the pic that are either in a metal tin or in paper wrap. This gives me hope of of slow but sure change in packaging in the US.
HFCS is such an additive, actually. It's put in monstrous amounts in damn near everything processed. There was also a period where American corner store sweets like Snickers and Crunch Bar and the like were "wax chocolate" which was during a mass chocolate shortage and strike of farmers and farm hands growing it. Mars Co. used Shea Butter instead. They kept adding Shea and Palm after that. It led to a massive rise in demand and price of dark chocolate because it was real chocolate.(((sweeteners)))
