Damn, they didnt even slap on some makeup or filter to make her actually look like Snow White rather than Cardboard Brown.
I really wonder what bs reason the movie will give for her still being called 'Snow White', because god sure didn't give her mom the child with skin white as snow that she asked for.

Credit where credits due tho, in what ive seen so far Zegler does pass as a dorky 14 year old pretty well.

The funniest part is that all the woke shoehorning will have been for NOTHING, because all the woke disney fans that only would've watched it to support woke (because the movie genuinely looks awful) will likely be boycotting the movie because 'genocide barbie' (gal gadot) has a major role in it. The ones who defended Zeglers casting are the same ones who have a massive hate boner for Gadot.

Yes, but unfortunately that's not saying much.

Disney kept adding on to The Lion King mythology with its sequels and The Lion Guard Disney Junior show which basically did a bunch of retconning just to justify its existence.

The only thing that hurts me about the mufasa thing is that it sounds legitimately interesting but if they bought it it's going to basically make the former look like that complete jackass.

So the new toy story is Ai and ipads bad, and the bad guy is 50 ipad powered buzz lightyears "stuck in play mode". The way it's framed it just sounds like a more retarded extra steps version of the first movie where buzz thought he was the real buzz lightyear or 2 where they met another buzz who hadn't had the realization he was an action figure yet. Fuck wouldn't the toys being alive to begin with make them "artificial intelligence" they're made in a fucking factory and just inexplicably gain sentience? This is literally a rip off of Small Soldiers, a movie that was already kinda based on/similar to toy story but with an explanation as to why the toys are alive in the form of the ai microchips inside them.

These reveals can actually pretty easily be summed up in this quote from Small Soldiers. I think I saw one or 2 other people elsewhere online point this out on top of the small soldier thing when I was thinking about it earlier. Expect an influx of memes about this if you haven't seen them start popping up a little already.

I actually found an ai text to speech of a recording of a Buzz Lightyear toy and I got it to do that quote too.

So this is like the third or fourth edit,isn't it? Originally they were "seven magical people" instead of dwarves and we saw leaked images and footage of what they looked like. Then they put out a promo where they pasted giant cgi dwarf monstrosities over the other actors, and now this where it's just full on cgi seven dwarfs. How much money are they going to burn on this trainwreck?

To be honest, I don't blame Ziegler for this. She got a lot of shit when she said it wasn't going to portray her as a passive protagonist. She could have worded it better but the death threats she recieved were insane, and she is clearly so much more talented than cardboard Gadot. (She literally couldn't make it to present at the Academy Awards during West Side Story because nobody gave her a ticket.....despite being the female lead AND the ugly guy lead getting one over her. She had to literally hop a plane the morning of!)
But the dwarves helping her clean makes absolutely no sense. She literally is supposed to be doing stuff for them because they are letting her stay with them, so it is to repay them for their generosity. She's doing it out of the kindness of her heart, yet here they are fucking up everyone's characterization.....

If we absolutely need a Toy Story 5 (3 was the canon ending idgaf they should have done a short for Bo instead) can we PLEASE get Sid back and Erik Von Detten? He and his wife have a successful real estate business but still.

No. Ziegler looks and acts the same in any role, when promoting her projects and in her social media. That could be that she gets type casted but more likely she just can't act at all and what you see is just her. You might prefer her more expressive and obnoxious behavior to Gadot's but she is definitely not showing strong acting abilities.

These are taking on mannerisms different from your own, showing various emotions in various ways and levels, timing, taking over the room and blending in as needed. To be fair all actors need some overconfidence to do what they do but that usually gets balanced by actual talent. If not actual acting talent, then just being generally charming, funny or pleasant in public. Heck you even be a complete asshole as long as you keep it fun to observe from a distance. Rachel shows very little of anything like that.

Her personality seems to genuinely be a smug dork who thinks she way more charming and smarter than she is. Being a nepo baby in Hollywood, especially a racially diverse nepo baby, has allowed all of those behaviors just fester because why would anyone call her out? That won't improve their careers. She isn't ugly or without any social charms but she isn't particularly pretty (more cute with a babyish face) and she really isn't funny or has interesting stories or observations. She is very very mid and quite annoying.

Ziegler is just like Zendaya, bland looking brown girl that was all the craze for a few years. This movie's been in the works so long that the fad is over by now. Ziegler actually looks a bit more expressive than that absolute piece of wood Zendaya who just can't emote whatsoever at all.
