Greetings from Six Flags
I hate Disney so much it's unreal
I was watching Kiss Meets The Phantom Of The Park with nerd buddies the other week
did Magic Mountain think a movie showing hoodlums wandering the park threatening people until they're killed by an attraction was a good idea?

It was the 70s. There wasn't much thinking involved, just a lot of cocaine.

as much as I shit on modern Disney this time I'll give credit
when we went to Disney Springs we got some snacks including wine slushies, and I got a cookie with mine
it was a very nice chocolate chunk cookie and the remaining half was STILL quite good a few days later
usually fresh bakery like that is only okay-ish by then

Some people are bringing up how Disney already has a brown princess that could fit, Elena from some Sofia the First spinoff show. I have no idea if she’s interesting enough for a full movie, but it’d probably be better than this.

It is funny that KISS vs. The Phantom of the Park is one of Hanna-Barbera's few live-action productions, because if you listen you can hear stock H-B cartoon sound effects being used.
I'm curious who of HB's Japan crew contributed to that. The ending fight was like some random showa stuff between the funky battle anthem and the not-Magma Seijins

Sleeping Beauty, but in Mexico... Does corporate ever look at optics and how bad it sounds on the premise? Next, we can have the 3 Fairies smudge Maleficent out of Aurora's section 8 home.

Also, whoever is handling distribution and cinema releases needs to be fired. Releasing Zootopia 2 the same day as Wicked 2 is so fucking retarded. I know they were trying to make BarbieHeimer happen again but considering most people will go to see 1 and 2 together, it's not happening.

Also, just arrogant considering the first Zootopia is not in the zeitgeist as Frozen or Moana. Zootopia did gross 1 billion, but it was a different time.

Here's the thing, they already made a reimagining with the Maleficent movies. So why do it again? The only reason I see this being suggested is to make a not-so-subtle reference to Trump.

The Maleficent films just proved that Angelina Jolie cannot act for shit. The "Villain" movie universe was such a bust. Cruella was awful; there is a sequel for some godforsaken reason, but I expect it to be canned after Disney has to scrap movies to balance the books. I assume they wanted to do an Ursula film, but could not muster the brainpower.

I just watched the trailer to Zootopia 2 since it was released months ago, and I saw nothing, not even on Twitter. Fuck not even furries reposted it. This is going to go like a wet fart. The premise looks utterly shit. The trailer made me realize how forgettable the VAs are for the first film, with the only noticeable ones being Idris Elba and Shakira. If this movie makes 600 million after the cinema cut, then it is a plus. This has me worried for Frozen 3, too since Frozen 2 was in hell. Frozen 4 is coming out a year after Frozen 3, allegedly as well. The animation in Zootopia 2 looks really cheap, or is it me?

I cannot believe that we live in a world where a Frozen 3 and 4 are even happening.

Looks like we're spared the Disney legacy sequel of Roger Rabbit. If we ever see Roger Rabbit on screen again, it's gonna be an entirely new take.

I'm glad the original creator got the rights back and I wish him the best of luck with whatever project he's going to put out with the character. All that said, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" was lightning in a bottle and nothing is ever going to top it because it was one of the most ambitious and talent fueled pieces of media ever made.

There is also the issue that Wolf may now have ownership of the universe but the designs as everyone knows them to be belongs to Disney. That's why even characters from fairy tales that are in the public domain can be used but cannot look anything as the Disney versions.

It would be interesting to see a Roger Rabbit universe that is a completely different take if handled correctly. It'll need to be its own thing to not draw comparisons with the original movie. (and it goes without saying but WB and Disney character cameos are out of the question).

Gary is a cool dude, Jessica is always shown as a femme fatale and is consistent about that.

“The one that is most prominent … is a live-action Jessica Rabbit movie based on the book Jessica Rabbit: XERIOUS Business,” Wolf said. “That was the first project that we took a look at and the first we started developing. It’s probably the one that’s furthest along right now.”

I began reading this. Jessica goes from a timid mouse to a hot babe thanks to being recruited by a James Bond-esque spy organization, but she's not a girlboss, not sure how she becomes a toon here yet, but the point is that Gary is old-school and not woke. Not sure if he'll be capable of making a movie in the style of RR in current day, though, even if all characters are OC.

All this talk about the Grand Floridian reminds me of Bright Sun Travels doing a breakdown on it about a year ago, including its history. I’ve never been to GF, but it admittedly still makes me pretty sad that the bastards at Disney just threw out their orchestra after they’d worked for them for 32 years.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=66JIQgmHRoMThe comments are pretty great too.

I know its been said before and they're just operating on Blackrock and consoomer tugboats, but holy fuck man--they've traded in their shovels for construction scooopers as to how DEEP they're digging their hole.

I've seen chain hotels in off-the-strip dingy Las Vegas that look better than this shit. And you know those places have loads of sex and drug traffickers in there.
