And it's not just the music quality but it's how well it fits scenes. Some people complain there's never a scene without music in the original Funimation dub, but I was watching Vegeta turn Super Saiyan with the jap music and the timing was abysmal. The transformation occurred in fucking silence until HALFWAY through when an ill-fitting song kicked in.

I'll admit there was actually one really good and fitting song in the episode with proper timing, it played when Vegeta ripped off both of Android 19's arms. I would miss the Faulconer score a little less if the jap music was always that good and well used.

Honestly, the more I see the antics of the DBM moderator team, the more I feel like a proper deepdive into them would reveal some genuine lolcow behavior.
This here is a moderator seemingly going apeshit about his inability to delete negative comments about himself, the moderators and Salagir on Youtube, singling out posters for daring to criticize a webcomic on Youtube.

Making a Dragonball game of all things a 3v3 fighter is so fucking stupid. The anime series perhaps best known for its legendary 1v1 battles and tournament matches and you balance it around being something that just doesn't feel right.
In fact when they do happen, they tend to just be multiple characters fighting 1 overpowered guy who can crush everyone.
Raditz vs Piccolo and Goku
Nappa vs the Z-Fighters
Goku vs Jeice and Burter
Everyone scratch damaging Vegeta to death
Everyone vs Freeza
Gohan crushing the Cell Juniors
Etc.

The only real "non-stomp" 2v1 I can even think of is Guldo vs Krillin and Gohan.
I guess DBS has the 3v2 against Black and Zamasu and whatever the fuck happened in the tournament?

It's just thematically a poor choice for a 3v3 fighter.

It couldn't have been that difficult to get the rights to make a Naruto fighting game, could it?
You know, that one battle shonen that actually does try to have sort of team fights sometimes, and at the very least has a decent set-up for the 3v3 stuff considering the Ninja team size.
Then again, Nardo hasn't exactly been relevant for a while thanks to Bort being absolute dogshit.

Either way, about 90% of the cast of Dragon Ball will literally tell you that they want to fight 1v1 even if the opponent outclasses them unless the fate of the entire planet is at stake, (and sometimes not even then until they get their asses kicked hard enough to resort to fusion)

Correct me if I am wrong, but Naruto has never done a traditional fighting game. It has done fighting games akin to the Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi games though. Naruto being irrelevant at the time didn't help either. Regardless of all of this, the modding scene for it is awesome.

The closest Naruto ever came to trying to be a traditional fighting game was the Clash of Ninja series, which you say is a kin to Tekken with no movement.

Who is "our" Salagir?
None of those three characters deserve to be called heroes, considering they are all some variety of brain damaged.
I like how Old Kai told all three of these guys outright that villainman wants to kill the entire multiverse but was responded to with varying degrees of apathy.
This shit really is just Dragon Ball if you've turned every single character into a nihilist. "You might die? Nah, we can just wish you back, haha!"
Like, in Toriyama's works, death, even if you could be wished back, was treated as the traumatic and serious thing that it actually is, because at the end of the day, dying would still hurt like a motherfucker.
Meanwhile this very tournament had Gohan (who Salagir consistently mischaracterizes as this super srs trauma bundle) pushing Pan into fighting in a deathmatch for Waku Waku reasons, I guess? After seeing another stronger Pan die.
Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, whoever. None of these characters would by the end of the series dare think that pushing the people they care about into death matches that are deadly for no fucking reason is at all acceptable.

This story at the end of the day is shit because nobody is in character, everyone acts nonchalantly and without a single care despite the sheer quantity of evil just hanging around. The entire audience has died at least once, remembers dying, and not a single one of them really gives a fuck. (Salagir's retard universe where this tournament is taking place apparently somehow doesn't even have an afterlife, either.)
 
Got a friend of mine to go on a journey and watch the DBZ movies because he's somehow never seen them. Watched dragonball, watched z, watched GT, seen the super movies and super, but missed out on the gold. So now he's going through and just picking movies at random. In Japanese no less.

Started with Slug and he was thoroughly sports entertained by Super Slug and Chi-Chi getting a little action was a highlight for him :story:
He was most impressed by the art style. Guess it's been a minute since he's appreciated 80s-90s anime styles, and Slug definitely leans into the sci-fi dystopia look. Wasn't too keen on the OST though despite appreciating it for what it is. And I can't disagree. The Jap ost can be really hit and miss. He was completely nonplussed by False Super Saiyan though which I found funny.

To be fair, False Super Saiyan (and actually Super Saiyan in general) is completely overshadowed in the Lord Slug movie because Movie Goku gains infinite power whenever the runtime of the movie is running out, which is why he can suddenly do shit like not job as a fusion, absorb spirit bombs, kill Broly in one shot, come back from the afterlife of his own accord to kick people, use the Kaioken x100, and other such nonsensical bullshit "I win" powers.
Like overloading the Big Gete Star with his and Vegeta's power even though each of the billion or so Meta-Coolers was superior to Vegeta and Goku alone and they were heavily drained.

You do not fuck with Z Movie Goku.
You can kick his ass through the entire damn thing, but when that remaining runtime hits below 5 minutes, you're fucked and are instantly going to die.

(Edit: Z Gogeta might even be a more egregious example of end of movie plot power, because he pulls a technique directly out of his ass that had Vegito been given, he would've instantly been able to end the Buu Saga and save everyone who had been absorbed with one attack. Fucking 'Soul Punisher' an evil erasing attack? What the fuck? Why would he just have that???)

Rewatching dragon ball and i happen to notice an out of place face at the end of the afterlife tournament. This is just after goku gets the ring out "win." The Great Saiyaman, Saga Goku vs. Pikkon, Episode 199 on my list.

Maybe I'm retarded but that's son gohan borrowing pickle boys turban.
