E3 (but not really) 2022

Confirmed Summer games Fest Lineup

More "art" and Hollywood people.

So Soyny's State of Play is tomorrow but it's focusing on their "third party partners". I'm guessing the following will be announced: a bunch of shitty indie games no one cares about, a bunch of shitty VR games for PSVR2 that no one cares about, maybe a trailer for RE4 remake and/or Dragon's Dogma 2 (hopeful but very doubtful) and maybe a first look at that goddawful "updated for modern audiences" KOTOR remake.

I wonder how little effort they will put into the next pokemon game.

Hopefully if they care a little they will manage to make it look like a gamecube game instead of an early ps2 prototype.
It's not about effort, their release schedule is a death march. The same people who did Arceus this January have V/S coming out in November. That's fucking insane.

Double post but holy fuck out of those 31:
- 4 of those are mobile
- 2 are Chinese
- 1 isn't even part of the gaming industry (yet, 2 if you count whatever that festival is supposed to be)
And I can already tell what they'll be advertising:
- Games as a Service advertisements (Warframe, Fall Guys, Genshit, whatever Squareshit is doing)
- Indies (Bloober, Devolver, Raw Fury, Coffee Stain, Mediatronic, Studio MDHR which I can guess the final Cuphead DLC to be announced)
- AAA (Soyny, Microshit, SEGA)
- Some deals (Humble and Epic Gaymes)

JUST GIVE ME BLOODBORNE IN PC GOD-FUCKING-DAMNIT
No, you people are only going to get a small smattering of IPs and the majority of your time will be spent slaving away in the MTX and Gacha Mines in order to fund PS5 games.

Horse Armor began on PC, you reap what you sow.

The fact that people are really hating on the VR games and then wonder why Sony decided to switch gears towards more grounded genres makes me think they can't put both parts together.

The Astro series by all means is the best platformer series they've ever put out and it probably could give Ratchet, Jak, and Crash a run for their money. Astrobot Rescue Mission is probably the top tier best VR game that's been ever made but it's not part of general gaming common knowledge because VR is by all definitions niche. People pining for Ape Escape would be more than satisfied with Astro, hell Team Asobi currently has full access and rights towards all classic Japan Studio IPs. But since VR has a bit of a stigma, they're going to miss out on shit like that and only hear about it retroactively in a youtube video about Hidden Gems™.

Legends Arceus looks like an unfinished Brazilian fan game
It's not hard to make a Pokemon game when you keep re-using the same assets you've been using since Pokemon X/Y

Reminder that a chinese app was able to put in actual fucking effort when it comes to battle animations, yet GameFreak still don't give two fucks about that, so much so that it even shows in the new Scarlet/Violet trailer

Hold on that's not true, not all of those assets are intended for the base game, some are for the $40 DLC and season passes.

Always acting like a salty sonygger huh
No, I'm just reiterating what they're intending to do. Their PC Space expansion is less about single player games and is primarily geared towards their online microtransaction ones.

When you have shit like Counterstrike, TF2, Fortnite and MOBAs be primarily geared towards cosmetics, and be in exitance for that long it shows that the skinnerbox crowd and whales want things like those.
