E3 (but not really) 2022

Hold up, there's going to be a new Valkyrie game?

Could be interesting.

It's funny that once again, Hrist seems to be cucked out of being the main character, but they've already joked about that.
Yeah, it was announced earlier this year and it's coming in Sept. No one had an inkling which just proves that "leakers" are full of shit.

Wow look at all those games! So many!! And this isn't even the main Direct.
It’s July, Awoo. It’s over.

That being said, we can kind of extrapolate when the next main Direct will be from the Mario Kart DLC. Six course packs released between March 2022 (the first pack) and December 2023 (the last pack) means an average of about four months between packs. Between that and the lack of a “real” not-E3 Direct, I could see a Direct happening this month alongside a shadow drop for the second pack.

There's Gamescom too next month.

Doesn't THQ Nordic have some sort of showcase planned for August?

About the only thing I'm even hoping for is they show off more Jagged Alliance 3 so I can figure out how they are going to do it. I have absolutely no expectations that we will hear anything about Deus Ex, Tomb Raider and whatever else they got off the Square-Enix deal. but it would be nice if there were some sort of announcements of stuff being in pre production or something.

I'm hoping for any, if only a little, information about Titans Quest 2. The random out of nowhere expansion for Titan's Quest 1 was fun but the engine is way to old right now and update/refresh is needed. Grim Dawn was great but I would love to see another take of ARPG in ancient Greek/Egypt/China.

In other predictable news, NBA 2K is celebrating Michael Jordan again with a brand new, NBA 2K23 Michael Jordan Edition game in their series

The last time MJ was on the cover for 2K was when NBA 2K11 was released over a decade ago, and it was largely considered to be the best game in the series.

I thought Michael Jordan was a baseball player?

The 90's nostalgia trend will never end.

I bet Tune Squad members will be DLC.

That deal hasn't even closed yet. Don't expect any more major announcements on it till it does.
