Some time later, they went to a party together, but then... problemes arised again.

Then she non-chalantly talks about on where did they had hidden sex.

Like a romantic movie, she would describe how they met each other. Describing her beauty as a car crash... weirdly enough.

During this time, she didn't want to come out as a lesbian, probably because if the story became known, this partner would be the first one to be harassed for her fault, something that she didn't want to happen. She then describes her experiences with her, feeling loved and giving love back. And tell a little about the travels they had together. She mentions one occasion where she took one book she was reading and gave her a letter of love, she never replied to that.

But of course, since Ellen can't have a proper relationship, that woman ultimately ended decided that she was a straight woman, and after having that perception on herself and what others view on Ellen. She decided to end things with the future pooner, breaking her heart in the process.

But that's not all, some time after the breakup, some friends would be there for her to go outside instead of being sad all the time, Ellen reluctantly accepted, imagining that her now ex would be there.

After a little while... she opened the door and finally encountered her ex. But with an extra detail. She was with a CIS MAN.

And then we end the chapter with a lot of venom in the words of Ellen. Being apparent the hatred she had for seeing those two being together. She words it like she was cucked right in front of her eyes, which is super weird.

Any sympathy that I was building for Ellen diminished a lot after reading this chapter.

I went to look at the billboard, you can look at historical images on google maps and the only thing that fits the brief is the poster for netflix movie 'The Perfection' starring Alison Williams or gal pal romcom 'Someone Like You', which is not what you'd call dangerous. It could be Alison Williams, but she was in a very steady long term relationship with a man at the time and has since got married and had a kid with someone else, so doesn't fit. There are also a couple of gaps in the image history where other billboards could be.

I had a quick look at films released around that time, and there are really not that many films that were big enough for a billboard that would also have a prominent woman on the billboard. One is Shutter Island, which had Michelle Williams in it, it made me wonder if rather than being an actual billboard the surname williams was a hint ... I don't think she was on the poster, but Leondardo DiCaprio was, who could have introduced them. Blue Valentine was Michelle Williams' most recent thing when they met, and she co-starred with Ryan Gosling, so maybe that was where the codename Ryan comes from. Brit Marling would be interesting. She created/starred in a show called The OA that had a pooner character.
