Italy played awfully and managed to get enough yellow cards to reach a total of 10.

Yeah ok it was the second team and the match was meaningless but the more reason not to get cards.

I am glad Ireland managed to get through though.
 
Good win for Ireland. I remember when I was a kid and they did the same thing at World Cup 1994 in Giants Stadium. (which is only about an hour from me )

Yeah... I owe you an apology. And after seeing Ireland beat Italy 1 - 0 like that... I hope Spain destroys Italy in the knockout stages, as well, if only to punish them for not trying hard enough, nor taking things seriously enough, either. Italy needs to be eliminated, just like England - RIGHT THE FUCK NOW.

Belgium 1 - 0 Sweden

Good riddance to Sweden. I'm just pissed off Belgium, being the 2nd best team in the world right now, according to FIFA's BS ranking system, didn't thrash these poor fucks by more than that.
 
How the fuck do England get such an easy last 16 game? I thought that if you finished second you would face a group topper in the next round. I won't worry though, first half decent team they play will destroy them since they seem to have fuck-all up front.

I'm counting on that, as much as I am counting on seeing the UK finally LEAVE the EU for good tomorrow. Here's hoping BOTH can happen for the greater good, too.

For a small nation with no real professional league Ireland are amazing at international level. In Japan they got to the quarter final. 1990 was the last (and only time since they won the World Cup) time England got further than the quarter final.

Scotland has a (sort of) professional league, 4 European trophies and several European final appearances at club level but haven't seen an international tournament since 1998. I don't think an Irish team has ever made the group stage of the Champions League.

I knew France would win, sadly (so I didn't watch.) - FUCK THEM. They need to go, just like England and Portugal. NOW.

Germany 3 - 0 Slovakia
Now this is a game that was over before it started. Was there ever any doubt Germany wouldn't bring their A - Game and easily destroy such an obviously mediocre regime??? Seriously, if you did - GET OUTTA HERE. I want nothing to do with you.

Now I'm just waiting for Belgium to destroy Hungary, if they really are the #2 team in the world, according to FIFA (like those fucks want us to believe.)...
 
Belgium 4 - 0 Hungary

I kinda fell asleep on this game the second I found out Belgium scored in the first 10 minutes. I missed all the goals Belgium scored, sadly... Then again, it's not like Hungary stood a chance against these guys, so - whatever. At least Belgium thrashed them like I expected of the #2 team in the world, according to FIFA's BS ranking system.

I hope Iceland can keep this up. I'd like to see it go to penalties, England always blow it when it goes to penalties.
