Fallout series

That's fair. I personally would like to revisit those areas. Instead of a giant map like in the usual Bethesda games instead break the areas up into instances like in isometrics and just add random encounters such when you travel between them. Allows larger playable areas with more detail, and a more geographically distributed worldspace. That said, the Shi look to be mostly integrated into the NCR (since Bear Force One came from the state of San Fran, and given the BoS War they're the most likely source there). But we definitely could have a part in the NCR-BoS War that's taking place during and after NV.
You know, I would actually love a blending of OG Fallout and 3D fallout gameplay especially with the survival mechanics, specific areas that you can explore via a world map, random encounters etc etc.

That way days can be a 1:1 representation of irl days, and most of the time is taken exploring/scavenging for supplies since you now actually need foor and shit with the amount of distances/time traveled.
AND it lets devs focus less on using ai generators to generate the world map and spend more time making actual locations.

Honestly the only thing I want for Fallout NV, is a new mod. Hear me out, a non-canon mod that adds Borderlands aspects. Where you can add cool Dahl camo to weapons you like, change your muscle mass and height to match your favorite vault hunters, have the npc and environment art style like the fallout 4 mod, and of course add color grades in the inventory. There is a mod for NV with the cool number damage meter, and also a mod with shitty claptrap copys. I’d say that a mod like that would be a perfect blend with the already perfect setup of Fallout NV.
Of course with the og obsidian pearlescent grade writing, and not the white grade Reddit writing of Anthony “My Wii-U gone” Burch.

Screw that. Gimme those Torgue rocket launchers and Tediore "explode when you reload" guns. Oh, and Maliwan elementals so I can burn Fiends and Legionaries alive.
How about mods that add the weapon company camo to all guns you can associate it with, and add the special effects with those mods. I got ideas flowing through my head but none of the technological know-how to make mods.

Shit like this is why I just silently enjoy the series and not partake in much discussion about them. So much autism and sperging, From fart huffers making 8 hour videos about there being no farms in Megaton to whatever the fuck that Frontier shit was. I've played each mainline game and enjoyed all of them for the most part, not a big fan of 4 but whatever. Why is the Fallout fanbase like this? The Elder Scrolls fanbase seem so chill in comparison.
I'm thinking of trying Fallout 3. Does Fallout encourage or require multiple playthroughs?

None of them require multiple playthroughs as they're not linear games, but they are highly replayable regardless.

All of the 3D Fallout games are frequently on sale, and you can get all of them on GamePass.

I have Game Pass. I'm thinking of going through 3, then NV. Maybe get the DLC after I beat it or find a sale.

Smart move, you can get all four games through that service. The DLC frequently goes on sale, so there's that.

There is always Tale of Two wastelands where it puts 3 inside of NV and you can start in 3 then complete everything and move on to NV or bounce back and forth. It comes with the added benefit of the much more developed NV mod scene working in TTW.

3 or New Vegas are good places to start imo, If you like the lore and all that crap you could look into 1 and 2 but those are very different kinds of games. The games are known for branching dialog and actions effecting the world so I'd say they are pretty replayable games. Not a requirement to keep replaying them but there's a reason people still replay them years after they release (hell people still have debates over which ending in New Vegas is the best one if that says anything).

Am I the only one that thinks The Master was the best Fallout villain from the whole series? That that this discredits the other ones, he just was the most impactful to me.
I I agree agree the Master was WAS and will always be the best villain in FALLOUT.

Hell I'd even go the extra mile and say Fallout 1 overall has the best written main quest, Yeah you can say 2 had more fun moments, New Vegas allowed for the most player choice and all that but in terms of a whole narrative Fallout 1 had the tightest scope and had no filler at all to tell it's story. The entire exchange with the Master is perhaps one of the best final confrontations in the series, especially if you manage to talk him down. It was so well done they decided to intentionally not do that in 2 with Frank Horrigan, now that doesn't make Frank a bad antagonist and I suppose it was a funny meta joke on the player to let them try and talk him down just for Frank to shut them down but you'll have a hard time beating the Master. Lanius came close but not quite.

There really was something special about 1. New Vegas will always be my favorite overall, but 1 had the best story and pacing.

I tried it but I can never get past Shady Sands, I just have autism when it comes to old point and click mechanics.

He was the only one you could really refute. And when he breaks down, he shows what's left of the man he once was: a broken person clinging on to an idealistic dream. Best you can do is talk your way out of a final confrontation in the other games, which you can't in 2

At least he didn't have an autotune voice like SOME villains.

I discussed with a friend of mine where I say (and I quote)

"The Vault Dweller doesnt defeat the master by giving a hopeful speech about human nature and the good of mankind and yada yada yada. The fact of the matter is that the master is right, as long humanity has any sort of differences, we will just make up reasons to kill each other. The setting itself is evidence of that. What you can do is prove to him that there is truly no hope and his plan to save the wasteland isnt going to work. You dont win by convincing him wrong, you win by proving that things are that bleak and he already failed. You break this...creature...with your own words of hopelessness. The Master doesnt refuse to listen to your arguments if you give him proof, showing he is reasonable enough to accept ideological defeat. Its such a perfect final boss battle to end this already bleak game. This, coupled with the ending right after it, just reminds me why F1 is still a masterpiece to this day"
