It is a dumbed down Fallout game. The gameplay is decent enough that you might get some enjoyment out of it, but the story is a mess. There's Fallout 4 as well, which I hear is a dumbed down Fallout game. It looks like Starfield.

At the risk of sounding like a dumbass: Fallout explores political themes but is largely an apolitcal game. I assume the political theme is exploring civilization after the government bombs it fending for survival. Is that true? Fallout 3 looks like it's stuck in the 1950s since the bombs dropped. It is a dumbed down Fallout game. New Vegas has lots of political storylines. Like deciding who is going to be the sheriff of Primm. Or how choosing the faction for the ending can dramatically affect the Wasteland. And many if not most main and side quests can be solved diplomatically or without needing weapons. Even things like choosing how to distribute things like the power from Helios One is part of governing and controlling the infrastructure of the Mojave. Generally stats like 'Speech' or 'Barter' are the ones that resolve most political quests. At the risk of sounding like a dumbass: Fallout explores political themes but is largely an apolitcal game.
Energy weapons are just too unsatisfying for me. Even when I make a build for them. Oh wow, everything dies in two shots. Crits galore. Hurraaaaaaay.hate when im halfway through a new vegas game using guns in a grunt build and start thinking
"why am i using generic m16s and garands that I could use in any other shooter" and I want to use energy weapons so i start a new game.
and then halfway through an energy weapons game I start thinking "man I sure love my guns" so i start a new game.
why must I suffer when all i desire is to kill
There's also so much more variety with guns. Pistols, shotguns, rifles and SMGs galore. Each gun has so much individual personality to them in a way that energy weapons fail to display. Every laser pistol is the same and the plasma pistol is unsatisfying but all the ballistic pistols have drawbacks, perks and identity to themselves.Energy weapons are just too unsatisfying for me. I like guns. Manual reload ensures you have to switch in some cases or that it's better to switch instead of reload. I can go from handgun to shotgun to rifle and all handle differently, especially if you have any recoil mods. Energy weapons are all the same.
Really should do a big guns kind of build sometime, but that's just overkill. Also, finding weapons to repair them with.
The Bethestards outnumbered fans of Fallout 1 and 2 by probably 1,000 to 1 when Fallout 3 first came out. It wasn't until New Vegas where people realized that Fallout 3 was mediocre and began going back to the original games and lore. New Vegas was the divisive game. Fallout 3 was pop culture trash that was played by millions compared to the much smaller fanbase of the first two games.New Vegas was an Obsidian based title. Fallout arguably was divisive WITH that title since 3 but before 4 because they went a slightly different direction in tone.
The factions in Fallout all represent a different way of thinking. They're all pit against each other because each side wants the post-nuclear civilization to be they way they want to.At the risk of sounding like a dumbass: Fallout explores political themes but is largely an apolitcal game. Is there anything worse than being an OG Fallout fan? Your beloved franchise is owned by one of the worst companies in gaming, which was then bought out by the worst company in gaming. It wasn't until New Vegas where people realized that Fallout 3 was mediocre and began going back to the original games and lore. one hell of a coincidinkDoes anybody have a backup of Schizo Elijahs content? He just DFE'd out of nowhere.
This comes after 2 months after updating his channels about me section to a long-winded story about how he found God because he played the honest hearts DLC or whatever while ironically mentioning how he wouldn't delete his channel because he despises lost media.
what the hell happened?
Thank god, I thought no one hated Ramblelime but me. If I'm remembering correctly he basically shit all over the entire Someguy series for making tribals look savage and calling it racist without actually looking into the novels Someguy was directly referencing.Schizo was funny for how hard he made certain parts of the fanbase utterly shit and piss themselves in seething rage. Ramblelime and other faggots like him still get triggered by 'Right wing Chuds' evangelizing the wrong factions and that's mostly thanks to Sneed and Schizo.
Ohh man I used to watch this guy for a while last year it's good to know he had a happy ending though may you find brother Elijah
of all the things to criticize about someguy, he really picked muh tribalsThank god, I thought no one hated Ramblelime but me. Yoink, into my notepad.you my gooba.
For the love of God, stop feeding the trolls. I rarely meet one who is consistently amusing to warrant feeding.
Please tell me you started with good RPGs...also welcome to one of the best and worst video game genres, you'll never leave. For somebody new to Bethesda games and RPGs
Yes, and...yes. More specifically Starfuck is on the Creation Engine 2. Skyrim, Fo4, and Fo76 are on the first Creation Engine, so you can see how they feel similar, especially Fo4 and Fo76 since Fo76 is basically multiplayer Fo4 on a different map. Don't play either. Damn you must be brand new my man. There's Fallout 4 as well, which I hear is a dumbed down Fallout game. It looks like Starfield.
How did you come up with that conclusion? Fo4 blows NV out of the water in terms of popularity. If anything NV is "trooncore" because of how many trannies infest the community around it because "muh politics."I always thought nv was considered most popular and a normie game apparently not and your toxic if you only like nv now.
Holy fuck he actually deleted everything. 200% faggot. Any respect I had for him is now gone, like tears in the rain. Not that there was much left given the (unproved still?) allegations.Does anybody have a backup of Schizo Elijahs content? He just DFE'd.

It's pretty much an action game with an RPG levelling system. There's aim assist in it that you typically won't even notice. Just click close-ish to heads and the game will make the shots work for you. If you're worried about dying a lot just build high Endurance. Lone Wanderer's also the second most powerful Fallout protagonist ever. And without trying, too. Everyone else has to somehow game the system but Wanderer's power comes very naturally from just applying some common sense. Any game where you can be potentially sitting on 10K effective HP in your pocket isn't gonna be very difficult. For somebody new to Bethesda games and RPGs, can it be overwhelming?
I genuinely can't blame you and do the same.Honestly dont hate oblivion, game is a gigantic meme, but the level scaling absolutely kills it for me, maybe eventually when I feel like playing it again Ill mod the fuck out of it.
100%, I have been meaning to grab the standalone gear but I have been a lazy fuck when it comes to NV the last few months. I mean you are gonna fuck her by the end of that questline. The cyberwear shit is great and someone even made all the fancy gear as a standalone, too. Yeah, the Advanced Recon Armor is OP as fuck but considering there's a ton of Cazadors between it and you I'd say that's fair. As nice as the Dinner Bell is fuck Red Lucy for making me fight past Deathclaws to get it, so its nice to get something more along the way.
Which recoil mods would you recommend, I legit forgot if I had any installed.Energy weapons are just too unsatisfying for me. Even when I make a build for them. Oh wow, everything dies in two shots. Crits galore. Hurraaaaaaay.

I just use the real recoil one.Which recoil mods would you recommend, I legit forgot if I had any installed.
