What are your opinions on him? He's a nasty bastard for the things he has done to Vera and being a petty asshole towards Sinclair. Did you let him live in your playthrough or not?
Every playthrough I've done he has died. He is a massive prick as you said with a giant ego, which erks me to high hell more then anything. However I usually believe in redemption or second chances for people, and would let him live if given the chance. I should try and not piss him off my next playthrough.
 
Regarding the NPCs with accents, even fallout 1 has characters with them. Morpheus, the Lieutenant, aradesh (vault 15 being a multicultural experiment).
 
We could have had a unique tribe of Norwegians who turned a husked out ship into a village of sorts you could interact with. Instead, they're just more guys with guns to shoot that happen to speak Norwegian.
Thats really the thing with Bethesda is that they often have really interesting Ideas but the lead writers are so lazy/incompetent that they can't utilize them fully. Like the Institute could have been neat if they weren't just cartoonish villains like the Enclave in Fallout 3 (and I guess 2), Hell the entire Lyons/Outcast dynamic in Fallout 3 could have been used so much better if they spent more time on it, rip the alien quest for the Outcasts.
Easier access. Imagine trying to traverse across Europe, Eastern Europe, then Asia (which was obliterated to hell). Probably having finite resources if you try the old way of going around Africa or South America via sea.
Plus a trip across the Atlantic might take, at most, something like 2 or 3 months? If the living situation is that shit in Europe Its totally reasonable someone would take the risk of crossing the Ocean.

What always bothered me is the fact that there's not more racism in the fallout new Vegas and fallout games if people think that's an extreme anti communist United States would tolerate Martin Luther King junior who is a known communist subversive for five seconds they got another thing coming the vault dwellers to just all be racially segregated you can have your anti communist extreme caricature cake and eat it too.
At least fallout one and two had somewhat coherent political undertones fallout 2 making fun of America eugenicist that was in place until the 1970s

I was so disappointed to come across that robot racing track just for the generic raider fucks there to open fire the second they laid eyes on me. God forbid such an interesting location get turned into some sort of minigame or something.

Given what happened with the Combat Zone, maybe it was meant to be a minigame/attraction but got cut late in development?

Both those things should've been relatively easy to add in, though. I wasn't expecting a ten quest series or anything, just a nice little minigame. Could just be bets on fights/races that just require Luck to win. I would've been satisfied with that much over what we got.

They really dropped the ball when it came to quests in Fallout 4.
Compared to Fallout 3, New Vegas, or Skyrim and Oblivion it feels like the game with the least to do on the map. So many map marker location, but nothing done with them.
A lot of the quests are also just kill or fetch quests.
The DLC again was mostly just areas to shoot more people.
They had super mutant in the game, but there's no quests for them.

I've seen people blame the writers, but in previous Bethesda games a lot of the quests were just written and done by the programmers. I think every dev making the game dropped the ball when it comes to Fallout 4.
The gameplay was solid, but there wasn't any actual substance to enjoy it in.

So it had 4 years as Bethesda's main project and a total of 7 or so years as a Project at all.

Fallout 4 is very weird because when you hear people talk about it they act like it had some horrifically rushed dev cycle, like it was crunch from start to finish. You have content like the Combat Zone that was almost done but was cut at the last minute for no real reason it seems, All the shit that pertains to the ocean, The nonsensical story that exists for some Factions that seems unfinished. There isn't a single part of Fallout 4 that seems like it was properly finished, managing to come off as more unfinished that New Vegas which only had 18 months to be finished.
I've seen people blame the writers
Schizo Theory but maybe Fallout 4 was the first Bethesda game to have the writers write the story first and then build the quests around a story outline?

Someone made a backport support for that new BA2 format that Bethesda did.

Not many people talk about how much of a missed opportunity it was, but that's par for the course with Fallout 4. Look at the cut content for the Combat Zone, or even the lack of content such as Salem, the Minutemen and Quincy, the Gunners, the entire fucking game. One giant missed opportunity because Bethesda have been hacks long since Fo4.

I have finished Dead Money. Pretty damn good DLC in my opinion, I'll never understand why is so hated for its difficulty. I can agree that it's very frustrating at some parts, (the metal stairs during the finale and the unbreakable radios were particularly awful) but I think that the history of the DLC balances it to be a very great experience. There was some talk here about Lovecraftian elements in Fallout by Bethesda, I think Obsidian made a pretty good job doing it's take about that type of lore to perfection, a ghost casino in the middle of nowhere being surrounded by a mysterious and dangerous cloud? That's amazing, and it tells you enough to left you to your own interpretation.

I managed to get all companions to survive to get the perfect ending, although it left me with a little of bad taste in my mouth considering I left Dean Domino live. What are your opinions on him? Hell yeah man, glad you enjoyed it. It's all downhill from here! The Lovecraftian elements were a mistake in my opinion, there's so much horror in the wasteland that adding Eldritch beasts that aren't just mutant wildlife is just silly. Dead Money explains it well, keeping it within the realm of Science Fiction but not going to such lengths as "It's a spooky magic cloud of doom OOOOooooo, be afraaaaaid."
Won't say much, but it's not Eldritch. It's source is shown in the other DLC but I'll let you find that out.
The fact that you saved everyone first try is impressive, at least for that faggot Dean. You basically have to suck him off to get him to not try and kill you, they all try and kill you if you don't do specific actions but it's not really too hard, just Dean is annoying. I think it's fitting that he dies in that place. He's such a piece of shit but definitely an interesting character. He's unapologetically spiteful and envious, he stated himself that he wanted Sinclair to suffer just because he was optimistic, just to show him that "Begin again" means nothing to him. Absolute piece of shit. Even as an evil character, I just kill him in the end because of how much of a faggot he is, put him out of his misery. Dead money is a bit of a hit or miss with people. Some people like it like you and me, others hate it because they hate Chris Avellone's writing for various reasons. Also, only cowards don't yoink the gold, and I also would recommend the "Post game" mod and the "Elijah post game" addon that was cut content, "too dark" said the executives, ignoring everything else dark in the game. Even the fucked ending for Old World Blues was cut.

I can not describe how much I hate the idea of Vault-Tec dropping the bombs. It lessens the responsibility put on the world governments because instead of political conflict, escalation, and desperation being the cause for starting the nuclear war, it's now evil capitalists blowing up everything for money.
The cope is that they didn't say Vault Tec 100% dropped the bombs, its still somewhat up in the air of if they did or didn't. I feel like a lot of the stuff in the show was left purposely vague so they could then "clarify" (soft retcon) what is said in the show depending on fan reaction. Its like how the NCR seems to just not exist in the show but then after it came out they said "no, no, the NCR still exists, just......elsewhere." when people started complaining about the stupid plot.

It's also my favorite dlc. I don't mind the difficulty spike honestly, that's even kind of refreshing.

I don't find the lack of racism to be too weird myself. Given the more liberal sensibilities of the writers, I suspect that the theory of racism subscribed to in the Fallout series being that prejudice is a function of systematic inequality, and in a wasteland without the kind of structure and background that the old world has, customs like racism just lack the abstract justifications that made it make sense 'back then' versus 'now' in the post-apocalypse.

Just look at Tenpenny. He doesn't hate ghouls simply because they're ghouls. He hates ghouls because they're poorfags who shed everywhere, like dogs but worse. Be like him and hate people based on their socioeconomic strata relative to yours, and shoot at random wastelanders from your balcony just because you're rich and they're not.
