Fallout series

There's a program that'll check your mods for compatibility and then reorder them so they'll play nice, or tell you why they can't. It's called LOOT, but I'd be surprised if you didn't know about it already.

Definitely get LOOT, it works wonders at keeping mods straight, and even has features to make sure certain mods load in a certain order.

If you have mods that add tons of textures and want to size them down to a certain point for VRAM conservation, find "Ordenador".

If you want to edit the ESPs/ESMs to fix bugs, the programs Wrye Bash and xEdit are very, very useful.

Yeah, but you can't just use Wrye Bash; you need to have a little knowledge as to what you're doing, whereas LOOT is basically a click and fix sort of thing.

How is your game stability with that mod roster?

Really good. The biggest problem in terms of crashes tend to be if you are too graphics heavy so before you go full NMC high res I'd suggest you try the performance or large pack first.

Also an absolute must is the 4gb patch to allocate more memory for the game. FOSE is a must, same with NMM in connection with LOOT

The most important thing for you is to read carefully the notes and install/test mods one after the other in order to make sure there's no conflict and get mods like BLACKENED who create patches so multiple mods can work together

I'm about to go out but if you want I can post a list of nexus links later on during the weekend

And it's really hilarious I finally got a sniper rifle, was able to empty the first wave of raiders in the Super Duper Mart by sneak headshotting them one after the other then lay a bunch of frags for the ones coming back in. I felt like I was fucking invicible.

I started walking in the wasteland two vicious dogs attacked me from behind and I died lol.

15 minutes later I'm scoping out the Talon merc camp and once again just sniping everyone until I suddenly got assraped from behind by a gecko.

Now I don't snipe unless I can find a sniper's nest and lay a bunch of mines behind me.

Dark Soul ain't got shit on this in terms of difficulty

Get yourself a plasma weapon.

Plas kicks ass.

And keep a 10mm SMG on you as a backup weapon. 10mm ammo is incredibly common.

I retried FO3 and went in full edgelord because why the hell not, and it's fun to shoot down BoS paladins right in front of their teammates without them even reacting, but ehhh.

Bruv I've got a plasma weapon. But between Very Hard, FWE, MMM and Iron Sights this game is brutal in a way you can't fucking imagine.

I've only ever played this game on VH. And I've never had to any of the shit ive described before

A team of modders was actually working on porting NV to 4's engine so you can have some decent-ish gunplay in your Mojave.

And maybe they can get Freeside to not suck. That'd be tight.
New Vegas gun play wasn't bad, neither Fallout 3 or New Vegas are FPS and you can't really play either as if they were.

But New Vegas is 10x more playable because your character actually shoulders his weapon something that doesn't happen in Fallout 3.

I will say that using guns outside of VATS is actually viable in NV, which I can't say of 3, but it still isn't anything great. 4 is a lot better in that regard, though it does have very samey guns.

FWE + Iron Sights mods take care of that

I almost never use VATS and I'd rather use bullet time anyway

Fallout 4's weapons were a bit of a let down, I think the developers overestimated the appeal of customizing a weapon.

Honestly the lack of a viable lever action which is my bread and butter in Fallout seemed like a pretty glaring oversight.

The Combat Rifle kind of filled that role for me in 4. Most of my long range sniping was done with a multi crank laser rifle that I happened to get early on in the game.

Maxson did nothing wrong.

But seriously I thought it was weird how many characters in the game said that Maxson was a madman. They are living in a post apocalyptic future with 5 story high monsters running around and they are still like "that guy trying to preserve humanity, and setting ethical limitations on scientific research is a lunatic". I couldn't have been the only one thinking that right?

All Hail the Brotherhood, only faction worth backing in 3 and 4 (NCR plus BoS in NV)

I still kind of like the Minutemen. At least the idea of a united mutual aid militia group. I just wish they were more fleshed out and para-military rather than musket men.
I prefer the Brotherhood in 4, they feel like a occupying army with their patrols, guard posts, and vertibirds flying around. Although making them hostile is annoying when you get constantly respawning vertibirds attacking your settlements.

In 4's story, the Minutemen do not stand a chance, they will get their shit wrecked in by the BoS the second they even notice they exist, do not stand a chance against the Institute and the only group they could possibly destroy would be the Railroad because those are just faggots with an underground lair who can't defend themselves properly
