Here is something posted in an discord server for an FC I was in back in January. Sad thing, FC wasn't always like that, but the founder left and the troons started to take over.

Every single time they try to insert him into a story he turns out to be the best part of it, even in Patrick Tomlinson's fat scribblings the only likeable character he has ever managed to write was a GROMPF expy.

And more importantly, since SE loves to masturbate about how "grey morality is actually super deep guys" they will inevitably give the blonde miqote and his army of red poncho wearers a few strong points about how his actions are justified (reminder that Emet-Selch did nothing wrong here), making the troon seethe reach levels not seen before.

I love CC (when the teams are good). They made a mistake of not changing the season rewards so so haven’t been back in. I’ve had rounds where the crystal is inches away from the goal but the other team refuses to quit so hard they would revive, go to the crystal and be a menace and die. Then the next teammate, then the next one, again and again. It’s amazing for the kill and assist acheevos and it’s just awesome

I dunno, it feels like PVP is pretty happening pre-EW rework. My understanding is that Feast was a pretty dead game mode most of the time.

There should absolutely be more ways to get savage-level gear if only for the fact that there are going to be 22 jobs in Dawntrail. The lack of alternative sources of savage ilvl gear has been a complaint amongst high-end raiders since Shadowbringers as you become more or less locked to progression on just 2-3 jobs for an entire tier (and realistically you can only gear one before the tier effectively ends at around the 12 week mark).


Criterions are also fun because you get trash with actual fucking mechanics. You have to carefully position the mobs and take fights in specific intervals. I did a little bit of AMR and it was incredibly refreshing getting to do high-end content that isn't just slapping a target dummy while dodging danmaku rape walls.

The game needs more high-end dungeon content where you need to do crowd control and encounter management and I'm tired of pretending it doesn't.

The problem started when they homogenized the game. Every tank is the same, every DPS is the same, every healer is the same.
They catered to the lowest of the low and their dedicated players are being thrown in the back. New players are better than old players for MMO stats

I don't think this is a big issue that people make it out to be. Savage gear is only useful for running more savage raids more effectively. You can get into any raid with crafted gear so it's not like you are locking out jobs from being able to raid. If raiders wont let you in because you don't have the most optimal gear for that specific week then that's a player issue, not a game issue.

The game could be more generous with savage gear, but if it did that 12 week cycle is only going to get shorter. If players weren't so hyper focused on optimization then the devs could be more generous. If you give alternate paths for savage gear you're going to hear complaints about content getting outdated too quick, or even how dungeons become mandatory content for raiders who don't want to touch criterion. Ultimately the issue comes down to players and what they want is simply impossible. They want a long treadmill and to reach the end as soon as possible.

I know this has been discussed ad nauseum but I quickly switched my audio to Japanese after hearing Wuk for the first time and it made the character way more enjoyable. Western voice actors are mostly colossal faggots anyways so I'm happy to keep playing this way.

I bought Dawntrail and I will definitely play through the content for a month but I pretty much have no interest in doing social stuff in this game anymore. My last FC started off with a solid group of actually normal adults but as they tried to recruit more people it quickly devolved into a den of faggotry. Killed any interest I had with doing social stuff in this game.

I'm also hoping that these new blacklist features are accompanied by the ability to actually unfriend someone and disappear of their friends list as well. Still can't believe that isn't a thing.

I was always mixed on the English VAs vs. Japanese VAs. I prefer some of the English VA's more than the Jap ones like Yshtola, Tataru, Urianger, and Krile. The Japanese ones I like are your topical Jap voices, but despite that they manage to put more emotion into it compared to their English counterparts. Even the English ones I like can fall flat.
Plus, you don't get shit like this for English voices.

Even though I dislike Tataru's Jap VA, and to a lesser extent Krile's (I don't think it fits nearly as well, she is suppose to be older, but it's tolerable), I'd much rather listen to them then a minute of the troon voice.

I think my main complaint with the English VA is that there's not a ton of diversity in the generic voices. Like Y'shtola and Thancred's VAs have several other minor roles as well.
