Maybe, but again if I am performing the same rotation every time against every enemy that isn't fun. It's just busywork that I'm obligated to do with no real incentive to improve.
Then play a different game? I don't get how cheating in a game to lose half of the gameplay, regardless if you think it's boring or not, is better than simply finding something else to play. It's like playing Helldivers with a tool that changes your Stratagems to be one button - it's easier, the same command everytime, but it's launching them in stressful situations that's the challenge. Casual content doesn't matter enough to require a cheats and Ultimate's will require you to optimize your rotation for downtimes. Yes, doing the same thing over and over is a grind - that's what an MMO is at it's core.

You do you though, it's PvE.

Xeno's first video on the Desolace Lawsuit dropped

In short: Lionel Frederique is an autistic sperg who allegedly, due to jealousy of getting rejected by a girl Xeno went on to date, went apeshit uploading tens of videos and writing extensive harassing messages to and about Xeno and everyone else involved.

Here's a message to Emma, one of the girls as a preview:

There's a lot of schizoposting shown in the Google Doc and video, but I think the transcriptions of the voicemails he left for Xeno's lawyer where Lionel talks about wanting the lawyer and her daughter raped and killed take the cake. Her daughter is 9, btw.

I have no idea about the validity of his claims that Xeno was with a 17 year old (or 18? the story seems to change mid schizo rant?) but this is pretty unhinged regardless. Xeno won the case by default because Lionel never responded to any summons and didn't appear in court. He now owes Xeno 23k:

In addition to a restraining order that forbids him from talking about Xeno on social media and requires him to delete all of his uploaded messages, tweets, and videos about Xeno:

I can't imagine being so blatantly retarded that I not only lose a defamation case by not showing up, but also being legally banned from even mentioning the dude that sued me. FFXIV content creation, not even once

Lionel is still posting about Xeno in his community notes, so I'm genuinely curious how he thinks this is going to work out for him. I'm pretty sure this can be considered contempt of court, for flagrantly ignoring the order, but no idea how that's enforced.

Desolance's Posts on his YT Community Page:

What's wild is he says:

Meanwhile, the Google Doc is made up of statements directly from women who have interacted with him and had nothing but negative things to say. In fact, there's a direct statement from Spudsy in the Doc where she herself asserts she was not 17 and Lionel is crazy:

Schizo's always fascinate me, I don't know how you endlessly crusade a for a victim who says the allegations are false and then harass the victim you are crusading for.

To that I say:

Iirc, you get thrown in jail for violating orders given by the court. He keeps this up and a warrant will be put out for his arrest before long and the police will be knocking on his mom's door.

I'm not too well versed in this, but according to friends of mine who watch Xenos on the regular, apparently the 17/18 thing stems from Xeno having spoken with her when she was a minor and then later entering into a relationship with her when she was 18. If you read her statement, it is worded very specifically to dance around that exact point.

Literally am. Waiting for news of any big changes, but it looks like it's going to be a few years. I also unironically macro my Helldivers stratagems so they would be one button and the game was more fun imo. The fun I get out of MMOs is seeing mainly in seeing progress, collecting, and sometimes socializing. I do desire a more meaningful and robust combat system, but in spite of that I find enjoyment is watching numbers go up and collecting things that I don't have and will never use.

I'm not saying you're wrong either about execution also being an enjoyable challenge, but I don't find that to be what is enjoyable. What's fun is decision making. In Helldivers you aren't doing a fixed rotation of stratagems but managing colldowns and selecting the right tool for the right job and properly positioning your abilities for maximum effect. The actual DDR is a neat novelty, but once I got into higher difficulties it became more of a bother. There's already enough chaos going on that I didn't feel it was adding anything. I argue the same thing about fighting games. Drawing shapes with your thumbstick to get a special move may take some skill, but I don't think it makes the game any more fun when the core of a fighting game is reading your opponent, reacting to attacks, and using a mix of combos to keep your opponent guessing. Not that I own Street Fighter but Modern controls just make sense to me.

I love that around the time I paused playing, Xeno was having petty beef with Rin Karigani - now he's winning court cases against literal schizos. My boy has grown up...

She was 17 years 12 months and 30 days old you sick fuck!

Yeah, I've seen this sentiment but in Sudsy's response,

they weren't friends or involved in any way. I guess that leaves room open for meeting when she was still a minor? Definitely sus in any event, but Xeno does have a male au'ra so this checks out.

After going through all the documents and evidence, I'm pretty sure there's a really weak case for defamation here. Lionel, crazy as he is, seems to truly believe in this crusade and isn't spreading known lies but his assumed truth, which hits defamation in the kneecaps. If he had just shown up to court and taken this even remotely seriously, I think Xeno would have lost this case - even the initial restraining order was rejected until Lionel refused to show up to the hearing.

Likewise, I think people who are sperging on X about Xeno now putting himself into a situation where he can get sued are wrong, as again, Xeno believes everything he is saying about Lionel. There's no defamation here in either direction and Xeno parading a default judgment as a win is fair, but also hyperbolic. Offering to help other streamers sue Lionel when the only reason Xeno won was because Lionel is too retarded to help himself isn't the win it's advertised to be. Though it does look like anyone can sue this guy and he will dig himself endlessly deeper into his schizohole.

Commentary on BLM and RDM from someone who fancies themselves a "mage main" playing both and WHM more than any other jobs:

BLM is simple rotation but fun. Yes, as you learn the job it feels a lot like say... Heavy Bowgun from MH (if you'd allow the comparison); you plant yourself somewhere, and just kinda brain off rotation to do big deeps. But the job truly does have a lot of options for mobility, my personal problem is I haven't quite put in enough practice yet to truly master said mobility options. I blame targeting shit in general for this, but I can also improve my HUD some to allow me to click at a party member as quickly as I can tap a key to then mash that teleport button and back.

Even accounting for that, I think BLM can still put up a decent amount of DPS when played horribly subpar. I've seen many BLMs who do die to mechs because they refuse to move because they were in the middle of casting Fire but people dying doesn't bother me much provided BOTH dps aren't doing the same stupid shit. Normal content isn't so hard that we can't afford one braindead BLM in the ranks.

As for RDM, personally I find it a lot more fun to play just because it feels more mobile (can argue for days if it actually is), but more than that has an even simpler rotation that feels a bit more engaging because you're encouraged to switch between black and white spells. Zipping in for 1-2-3 melee every half dozen spells or so keeps it refreshing, and having to pinch hit heals or rez always feels nice because it is the one job where you don't have to mindlessly stick to your role, but can pretend to heal, too. I'd love for more jobs to have secondary utility like RDM.

I think that's the big thing missing from the game is utility that isn't more damage. People consider a raid damage buff to be "utility". Utility in other MMOs might be crowd control, some kind of debuff, or provide resources that other classes could use. Not only do jobs not interact with each other but outside of pure damage they can't even interact with the world.

Apparently Xeno has stated that he can prove that this guy knows his statements are false -- I'm not really interested in sitting through several hour long videos.

Speaking of, another one dropped.

Pretty fucking much this echoed to the fucking heavens.

The lack of synergy between jobs (and secondary utility) feels like such missed opportunity, when the game is literally an MMO. The closest we get to this is Dancers using the partner ability to buff a single other party member, which is a great feature but could be expanded upon further. Hell, one of the first things I thought of was "why isn't there synergy between Bards and Dancers if they're in the same party?"

The franchise has had plenty of instances of party members working together for greater options. Off the top my head I think of Steiner and Vivi from FF9 where having both in the team grants access to ridiculously overpowered spellblades to Steiner.

If the game had more of this, you'd actively encourage people to play different jobs I think, because you'd want to try different combinations in random content to spice up your gameplay. On top of that utility (healers having more buff or debuff actions that aren't just "increase damage for 10s", or perhaps the return of multiple tank stances, something I didn't experience myself but could be reworked to be enticing).

I assume they don't want to upset meta balance, because if you add one synergy like this, you need to do it for all the class pairings and make sure they are all balanced. This is a lot of labor that Yoshi probably does not see as being worth the returns. Yoshi might even argue the stat bonus based on jobs in your party is already doing this.

I could see there maybe being combo limit breaks being added at some point, but a bard song giving standard/technical step bonus stats beyond what is already present will probably never happen.

It would be pretty cool if I was wrong about this though.

Lionel is definitely retarded but I don't think he would've won even if he tried anyway. With all the dirt Xeems has on him, that's a really steep hill to climb. The courts don't care if you believe your own claims, they care if those claims have substance and evidence indicating that those claims are true and in Massachusetts, if you making those claims aren't damaging the livelihood of the person you're making those accusations about which Xeems says that he can prove that he actually lost income because of Lionel's sperging. Xeems has all this stuff indicating he's not what Lionel accuses him of. The burden of proof now shifts to Lionel to prove that his accusations are actually true, not if he just only believes they're true.
With Spuds, I dunno anything about Xeems' friendship with her when she was a minor, but if nothing sexual ever went on between them, then I'm sorry but being friends with a minor is not illegal no matter how much people want it to be. If she chose to pursue a relationship with an older friend of hers after turning 18, that's her business, she's legally an adult by that point and unless someone can actually prove that Xeems groomed her into going out with him the moment she turned 18 or if any funny business went on while she was a minor, all those secondhand claims about him being a groomer hold no merit. Looks optically bad, but that's the law.

You're absolutely right about the twitter sperging though. Xeems and everyone celebrating winning a lawsuit by default against a literal retard is not the win they think it is. If he actually tried to fight back and he was creamed anyway, that'd be a different story.

I'm not really sure what definition of defamation you're working with here, but there's three big elements to the MA interpretation.

False here doesn't mean "a knowing lie;" it means rather literally that the statement itself is false.

Now, particularly with online libel, there is quite a lot of leverage that you can get in this regard anyways; and so doubtlessly the moron showing up in court would have been to his benefit. But if there are wholesale archives of deranged lunacy whirling about - well, as that link points out, MA common law doesn't even really necessitate suffering economic loss in order to prevail with libel.
by default against a literal retard is not the win they think it is.
On the contrary, it's the best win they could have possibly had. When you win in a default judgment, you tend to get a lot more of the relief you were seeking than if you actually had to argue in front of a court. It's better than a plea agreement or a settlement, since you don't have to compromise or engage in give-and-take.

If you are ever in a legal quibble with someone else, the literal best outcome for you is that they never show up and you get that default judgment entered.
but I can also improve my HUD some to allow me to click at a party member as quickly as I can tap a key to then mash that teleport button and back.
There are probably ways to move the party list in a more natural position to click on them, but focus targets also work. So long as you pick one that will be in-range of your teleport and not retarded enough to stand in a half-room AoE, it becomes pretty natural to teleport to them, fire an instant-cast, and immediately return to the leyline after the attack happens.
