Funny enough I remember XI being called anime Everquest back in the day.
I'd say most twitter accounts that are FFXIV related are lolcows and don't differ much from the usual twitter shit you see. There are even some lolcows in SQEX itself it seems, with that one SQEX employee who harasses and stalks players in-game and IRL that I found out about a couple posts back. I've heard from some peeps that anoother SQEX employee used to have a patreon where they sold pictures of themselves wearing diapers and draw comissions for FFXIVplayers of their toon shitting/pissing themself.

Yeah, having actually read the story, I can't help but wonder this person's reading comprehension. Ilberd mentioned as one of the 'faces you loathe' was just a phrase of your adversary trying to break your spirit. Clearly, you are meant to DOUBT that line, as all other lines he says, and withstand psychological pressure.
I feel like a lot of social groups on XIV are like that at this point, but, then again, I'm also incredibly biased against the XIV playerbase as a whole after having had and seen nothing but foul experiences from the majority of players I've talked to and forum posts I've read over the years. Just comes with the territory, I guess.
Yes, because nevermind the fact that Ilberd set you up to frame you for the Sultana's "death", betrayed Raubahn and cut his fucking arm off, and, as a direct consequence of his actions, we lost Papalymo. Nevermind at all that we'd have personal reasons to begrudge Ilberd. It's all about muh Ala Mhigo oppression.
They love to smugly brag about being this GCBTW that’s so open and welcoming that’s so much better than WoW’s or any other mmorpg community. However, ask anyone in those same mmorpgs even the people who are pretty left leaning and probably engage in some quirky/eccentric activities like RP (nothing against it at all when I say this) and they’ll tell you FFXIV’s community is shithouse insane. And I’ve talked to people on GW2, WoW, and ESO along with that private server CoH Homecoming.
She is a hardcore Stormblood stan and anything that paints Ala Mhigans in a bad light causes her to rage. Her hate boner for Ishikawa is so bad and it is pathetic she resorts to calling her a bitch and wishing she’d injure herself. I wouldn’t be surprised if she eventually got to the point of making death threats because of how toxic she is.
A good ending to a great expansion. I just wish that I didn't have to wait another month to grind out the SHB relic weapon. All I can hope for is that Ishikawa writes 6.0 and that they use the mech more, that part was sick.
What the hell is the next one even going to be about now that
relic grinding can be a pain in the ass. i usually skip it because the weapon for my main isn’t worth it besides glam. the last one was all in eureka so i’m curious to see how they do this tier.
I'm going through the Anima Weapon for BLM and it's not that tedious, it just costs a metric fuckton of tomestones which you usually get from doing dailies + Praetorium anyway. But yeah the only reason you'd want to do the old relic weapons is for the glamour.
What do you main and why? I’m leaning toward Astro because I liked SCH but eventually found it boring, but I started on Monk a long-ass time ago and the scuttlebutt is that it’s getting a much needed rework.
