Dramacow Gabe Navarro / Moleman9000 / MolemanNineThousand / ResonX - 13 bans on Wikia

Well, it seems I was right, here is the eleventh banned account of Moleman9000

I wasn't sure at first, but this proved to be the key giveaway:

As an interesting aside, I know which "abusive Wikia staff member" they are referring to, and not only am I offended the honorable gentleman in question is being treated like a villain for simply doing his job, that very same staff member responded to my contact report very quickly and handled this situation.

You really should use your powers for evil.

its been ten bans on wikia and he's still going? This guy will never learn. Oh well. If Geth gets it to 20 he will become god like.

@Alan Pardew hes still goin, this is ban number 11
So, is Molay just going to keep this up until Wikia calls his IP provider? Because if we're at 11 now, you really should pass that idea along Geth.

I agree. Gabe needs to face some real consequences for his actions. Also, we'll be able to hear the REEEEEEEEing from the other side of the Rockies if his ISP drops him.

I find it hard to fathom being such an egregious fuck up that one ban is necessary.

I have repeatedly urged the permanent closure of his wiki and barring it's reopening on Wikia, with the caveat he would be able to download an XML dump and set up stakes on other hosting if he preferred.

It has become quite obvious he refuses to learn he has done wrong and that getting to edit on the MERB wiki is his equivalent to a crack fix, and if Wikia wants to be somewhat more sure they will be rid of him, permanently cutting off his biggest temptation would be a wise start in my opinion.

The question though is "why haven't they just cut him off cold turkey?"

They're just enabling him at this point, thus not stopping the Moleban train, something they're clearly wanting to do right? And the first step to doing so is by either closing down his wiki and reporting his constant ban evasion.

Well, Wikia is in a hard spot on this one. While closing the wiki down would deal with one obvious troublemaker, or at least deter them, there is no guarantee they will learn from their mistakes, as they often go back to other wikis as well.

Second, they are willing to dodge IP bans at this point, which hamstrings the effectiveness of just making bans stick, and he hasn't done anything overtly criminal to this point, just being too foolish to understand that no means no.

Finally, Wikia has no real reason to shut down the MERB wiki. It's contents may be painfully autistic, but fall under their rules, and torching an entire wiki in the hopes of ridding themselves of one pest seems excessive even to me, and since they do not like to shut down any wiki under it's mere existence is a policy violation, I can understand their reluctance, odd as it might seem to those who know Mr. Navarro better.

i don't really think the MERB wiki should be shut down
it's fanbase is laughably small, basically just me and anyone else that edits on the wiki, but it still has a fanbase
i do understand your reasoning on removing it since it makes him want to sock
i wish he could just simply be able to agree to not use his account anywhere else and be allowed to only use it to edit the wiki, but the chances of that being an option and him actually agreeing to that are nonexistant
also the scarecrow account was actually an alt of another friend of his that the friend let him use
still socking though

Glad you've shown up.

What Mr. Navarro does not understand is that he has completely worn out his welcome with Wikia. Completely. Irrevocably. They. Do. Not. Want. Him. Back. ANYWHERE.

Seriously, he has become that much of a stench in their nostrils.

When he got his first global ban, I found out it was granted because his long line of causing trouble had ground down the patience of Wikia admins before, and Wikia staff made it clear to me they did not only want him back, but to let them know if he was dodging bans.

Me, I made a point of making sure their decision would stick after he dodged four global bans just to harass me and make clear he wanted to defy the rules. I advise you make clear to him that Wikia admins will do anything to keep him out as soon as they are aware of his return, and that I will help them, because this world has rules, and he has to abide by them, like I would if I were in his place.

Also, contrary to what Mr. Navarro wants to believe, global bans (aside from self destruction of one's own account) are permanent. They are not revoked, they not negotiable, and they are not for just that one account. They are a "GET OUT AND STAY OUT" to the person they were applied to for an indefinite period, generally one's lifetime, bare minimum.

I hope that clears things up for you, and while I sympathize and don't want legitimate users punished, I mainly recommended the wiki be closed because, no offense, certain users were helping him break the rules repeatedly, so he wasn't the only guilty party.

If Moleman stays away like Wikia staff want and no one tries to break the rules to help him again, then I will cease recommending such action be taken.

I respect the work you do, but Molay reminds me of the phrase in Jurassic Park: "Autism, uh, finds a way".

It is his basic nature to not stop, it's not even a conscious choice, nature wired him this way. All the autistic cows are naturally that way, just like being a stand up, decent guy comes naturally to you. Frankly it's a good thing (for us, not the cows) because if they stopped we'd have nothing to laugh at.

So my suggestion is to simply try to enjoy being the autistic Batman to his autistic Joker, and enjoy the fact that we have autistic Bane in the form of @Null providing a spot to observe it all. Wouldn't being a wikisperg be a different experience if everything went smoothly? It'd feel like a cheap video game simulation rather than the chaos of humanity.

When you accept life's difficulties without coveting pleasures you find your problems disappear because the idea that they are problems is all in your mind/perception.
