Either way it doesn't matter to me, Hat In Time was not the collect-a-thon I wanted and I didn't even finish it it impressed me so litte. I ended up 100%ing fucking Yooka-Laylee... heck, I even played more of a game called FreezeME than HiT around that time, and that is a game no one has ever heard of probably made with no budget.

This game ticks all the boxes for a special niche of gamers that's especially deranged, but mostly fragile. Unchallenging platforming? Check. Cartoon graphics? Check. Frogs? Check. Comfy™? Check. Androgynous protagonist? CHECK. It's funny how many people who are really into these things exist. I immediately knew of three people I've had relations with who are going to eat this up.

They are selling this for 21 euros apparently as seen in OP's site capture. Definitely not worth it for the amount of content it has, which I would say to be about 3-5 hours just by looking at reviews.

This game makes storytelling mishaps like OMORI look like the work of Shakespeare. And yes I have watched gameplay videos of Here Comes Niko to spoil myself, not degenerate enough to play this through fortunately.

Get OneShot for half the price and a way better "Niko". Play through a chapter of DELTARUNE for better gameplay in approximately the same completion time. Although now thinking about it, it's probably unfair to compare OneShot, OMORI, and DELTARUNE to this um, thing.

A still developing mind is an easy target for spreading 'the message' they want. Games like this having a cutsey artstyle reminds me too of the spiderman elsa people baiting kids with cartoons. Same tactic being employed really.

I'm guessing Niko ran away because his parents won't let him have puberty blockers or call him xe/xir or whatever.

It's easy to pander to kids feeling vulnerable. Because they are looking for comfort. So games like this are just groom machines.

It would be the latter in this case. Nonbinary is just a lower effort tranny, the only positive being they generally won't undergo HRT and it is much more likely to be a phase.

Nah, it's 100% catching the Animal Crossing audience, specifically the LGBT group that's co-opted the game since the franchise went into a downward spiral. There IS significant audience crossover between it, Undertale, and other games, so I do agree there.
