Some (I'm assuming) dev named Lorn has been replying to every other post on the steam discussion page and it's mildly amusing.
He's not a dev. Just a fag carrying water for them.
no, it doesn't, they are very distinct.

while they both use very eye popping hyper saturated colors, Rivals has a combination of Anime+Heroic Comic book style to it, Overwatch is very explictly almost Pixar in its stylings, where they almost seem sculpted instead of real, overwatch would never be as detailed in character models as Rivals.

Oh yeah, those are some nice details on Rogue. Very defined curves.
How about the game Dennis Dyack fumbled so hard he ended up in a lawsuit that resulted in him being ordered to destroy all unsold copies.

Wasn't half that game's problem that you spent more time in cutscenes than doing anything, like the resurrection cutscene after every death?

I couldn't say because I never played it (and now can't) but yeah I remember everyone complaining about the stupid valkyrie resurrection sequence so I can only imagine the rest of the game was just as bad.

Holy fuck this dude is Autistic
I sometimes forget Concord even got a slot on that Amazon TV show that was about video games and shit. The one people only cared about Warhammer 40k with. What on gods green earth made them so convinced that it was gonna be the next big thing?
It's not that they were convinced it was gonna be the next big thing, it's that they were convinced they could manufacture the next big thing if they just threw enough money at.

And calling "Secret Level" "videogames and shit" is correct, since there's some videogames but mostly shit. The Armored Core one with Keanu was also amazing, and I even liked the goofy New World one.

> Advent Rising and Too Human mentioned

Damn, you're stirring some suppressed memories for me. Should I mention Project Copernicus and Kingdoms of Amalur while we're at it?

Devs usually have a developer tag. He could be a janny, I doubt it though. Probably just a retard. Regardless, the guy on some weapons grade copium. Have some more.

Foolishness tbh. Throw as much money at Concord as possible and I don't think it even makes a splash. There are simply too many live service games out there, on top of shooter ones specifically. People at the top really be fiending for that live service fortnite money without understanding shit about what makes those games appealing.

And yeah, man. Bring out every failed franchise and the kitchen sink. Always interesting to look at what failed and why it did.

After this, what do you guys think will be the next AAA crash and burn? I’m betting on GTA 6, you don’t delay your game that long unless it’s seriously fucked.

I never played due to the gross taste the franchise smacked me with over the last decade with bland slop promoted to be entertaining and the burnt bridges from even former family that justified their beliefs on fucking marvel movies on topics that I eventually was right about but they refuse to admit their retardation. Regardless, any time I see gameplay or maps of it... I literally just think "Oh, It is Overwatch with a Marvel coat of paint on it."

The most I can guess is different is that they have is more enviromental differences they can take from, but regardless it's not enough for me to not look at it and say 'This is just Overwatch' whenever I look at gameplay because that is what the character abilities look like, that is what the designers took inspiration from to sell to those who hate Blizzard entertainment soyraping their franchises and both games looted the level design from Quake.

Sorry for being extremely negative about it, but the industry is nothing but people copying down a recipe, then doing a spin with ingredient substitution that we have ended up with slop pretending to be entertainment. When I say games 'fall into the catagory of Overwatch', We can also say 'Oh, It's Defense of the Ancients but they made their own lore for it and called it League of Legends/Heroes of the Storm/Deadlock' or "Oh, It's World of Warcraft but it's with their own property like ESO/FFXIV/Star Wars' OR the many many many 'Oh, It's the Halo Killer. A bland looking sci-fi game with an uninteresting multiplayer slapped on funded by a corporation who thought they could make magic with uninspired hacks.'

"When heaters become fans overnight"

Third worlder that can't speak English or landwhale that fat fingered?
I like how in that post he's like "emm sweaty we'll let the concurrent playercount speak for itself" and immediately pivots to "nooo don't look at the concurrent playercount, look at daily logins you luddites" in a matter of 12 hours.

I don't think we'll ever see a failure on the level of Concord ever again. That one was the absolute perfect storm of all the worst decisions you could possibly make. Ugly designs, shitty misleading trailer, incredibly slow and boring gameplay, generic world and even trying to charge for it.

Highguard is the most fake looking video game ever and it genuinely seems like they just smashed a bunch of random ideas together but at least the devs were smart enough not to charge for it. I don't see it lasting over a year, admittedly. Hopefully when this one finally goes under a lesson might be learned here. Stop with the pvp slop shooters. Or at the least make a spiritual successor to the game people actually wanted in TitanFall.
My favorite part about that disaster was hearing about the tranny manager that forced eveyrone they worked with to call them "Professor"

IMHO nothing proves more effectively how worthless "kernel-level anti-cheat" actually is than this endless demand to voluntarily enable a locked bootloader that only boots signed/blessed OSes and a hardware-locked tamper-proof "host serial number" module in your fucking BIOS before it'll even entertain the idea of claiming it's "secure."

If your shit can't be confident in its own security without third-party hardware attestation, your shit sucks and you should go drive a garbage truck for a living instead.

I'm talking purely the art style no the game or the state of Marvel.

The Art style is very good and distinct, it's nothing like Overwatch, and it's clearly made by people who like old(er) comics, as the characters are much more built around 90s and early 2000s styles and motifs.
Again Overwatch was made specifically like Pixar.. this is not, sorry you are art illiterate/blind
