Three kingdoms was fine but even something like that will never come again. They have two studios, one is the british faggots shitting out warhammer shit, they will probably do that for the rest of their lives other is some gypsies in balkans cheap labour making shit like this we wuz egyptians garbage.

They bring up a good point, the universe makes NO SENSE here. Actually, it reminds me of Starfield, which (unintentionally) created a dystopia universe where there are barely any white people and what remains of humanity is mostly homosexual or asexual and eats bugs/lives in pods, due to how hilariously woke the game is. Hyenas tried to do something like that, but INTENTIONALLY(with added le so quirky marvel/borderlands quips and and reddit soy specialists/dialogue), and someone at Sega not only greenlit that project after watching that video but also SPEND A BILLION DOLLARS ON IT.
The game never even released, but all the assets have been made and there is a game to be played, if that gets leaked too. How do you go this far down production pipeline without releasing you have hot garbage on your hands?
Am I the only one who still remembers Doom 4 and how that was shitcanned because it looked AWFUL? We got Doom 2016 eventually out of that, but holy shit, got to wonder who the fuck is in charge of budget allocation at Sega. If this is how simple it is to get a project greenlighted, I need to get into the gaming industry.

Edit: I'm still cracking up that the video starts with I'M BLUE BADIDADEEDAY, that's some memeshit but it was trying to be taken at face value. These new millenial game devs have absolutely zero self awareness

I'm not sure if the released builds are out there somewhere. I had access to the beta a long time ago, it's still available for download but it gives you a 40 byte batch file.

In hindsight I should've backed up the game files but it never actually wanted to run on my Linux machine, and I checked out after the intro sequence had drag queens and trannies. When I initially signed up I didn't know anything about the game.
 
I tried to watch that bitchute video and made it until 1:36. At this point, the cringe was too advanced for me, and died from it.

The irony is that they're already facing a partial revolt from the fanbase because of the garbage they been shoving in the warhammer DLCs, and the immensely broken """fixes""" they been doing to the third iteration of the game.
 
Why is CA keeps getting assigned to genres they have no expertise on? Just because journos like their shitty alien game?

because they want to be, they dont want to just be "The team that releases a total war game every year" They thought they could get rich with this shit, so did a hundred other developers who are making the exact same game. With their woke brainrot they all think this premise is amazing and will be loved by all

I don't blame anyone for forgetting this exists but Sony have their own Hyenas except even more boring and generic

Oh god AWS is horribly unreliable. Imagine getting emails containing raw (unformatted) JSON with text (that should have been the email's body) notifying you that 1) one of your EC2 instances (i.e. a virtual machine) is on hardware they think is starting to fail, 2) it may already be dead (but they're not sure and can't tell), 3) it'll be unceremoniously terminated at noon on Thursday if it hasn't already died by then, 4) they won't be replacing it or migrating it elsewhere for you, 5) if you want it to do anything but just fuck off forever, it's up to you to replace it and migrate your shit yourself, 6) you're still being billed by the second at regular price for the ailing instance until it dies or you kill it, and 7) go fuck yourself.

Bonus double joy if you try to spin up a new instance in the same AZ and get a "capacity error," meaning they supposedly lack the resources to allocate the instance you're asking for.

And that's for their second-oldest and "most stable" cloud service. Their newer shit is a joke. Fuck those cunts.

I am seriously considering a pivot in my career (25 years in IT so far) towards that market. Learning COBOL (and refreshing my memory on general mainframe stuff from my "contractor at IBM" days) may be a miserable experience, but then again I do enjoy playing with esoteric technology and the pay is fucking phenomenal because of how few people are available to do the work. I'm very well paid now, but I have no doubt landing a COBOL job would easily triple what I make now and would arguably be a lot less stressful.

That or ADA or Erlang. The former is mainframe and aerospace-adjacent (i.e. big money and reliable work), and though the latter is an incredible piece of technology, I fear getting too involved in it (or Elixir) would require leaning back into the telecom industry, which makes me want to suck-start a shotgun.

One thing that makes me actually mildly angry about 'shift to cloud' is that we spent decades making systems more reliable, and if you suggested to the developers that they help out by adding some HA features to their software you got "What, are you incompetent bro? Just make it never go down. More nines, bro, it's easy. Just make the computers never fail." And the moment they figured out they could bypass the rest of IT and spend whatever they wanted on super fast hardware in the cloud, they turned around and it instantly became "Downtime, bro? Whatever. Cattle not pets, bro! Aren't you using Chaosmonkey to test your shit in prod?" (And inevitably you find out that there's a load bearing server holding up the whole thing somewhere on AWS that isn't even reboot safe)
