Damn, these is some of the worst concept art i've ever seen, and to think those are the designs that made the cut and had to be reviewed and approved on a gazillion dollar project

One of the most 7/10 games of all time. Wouldn't mind a few smaller, maybe jankier superhero games like that alongside the big hitters.

Obviously having personal info leak is fucked up, but what's so distressing about the unfinished game leaking? Like yeah they didn't have control over it and that sucks but it's essentially just mid-production behind the scenes/making of shit, honestly I find it kind of interesting to see stuff like that and compare it to the end product or see the storyboarding for the cutscenes or whatever. The game leak's not going to impact how people enjoy the finished product, especially since most people either don't care or are consoomer shills who act like even just thinking at the leaks is illegal.

Performative empathy is a thing. I agree with your take, it sucks but it's not the end of the world. If anything I'm now more interested because I know what's coming.

Because shit for brains terminally onlines don't understand that a game will look obviously a lot worse when it's still in early development and will bitch about it like it will look the same when it finally comes out.

This kind of bad publicity can get the game preemptively cancelled because the higher-ups will listen to that kind of bullshit, now think it won't make a decent return, and pull the plug on it before it's even released.

It’s distressing for them because they know the game looks bad. They don’t want anyone to see the actual game instead of cherry-picked footage. (Also yes I know people are gonna say that it’s still in early development, but I mean the fundamental gameplay mechanics look bad. Which that doesn’t change.)

I didn't get chance to view any of the gameplay. Is it like Spider-Man (primarily third person like a typical action game) or more like the modern God of War's?

I've heard consoomers use the excuse it could give people an "unrealistic" idea of what the game would be.

But honeestly, so many games come out shitty that I don't see how Alpha/Beta footage or screenshots are going to make them think the game will be *better* than how it releases.
