Insomniac Games hacked, contains screenshots of Wolverine game - Information is up for auction at a price of 50 bitcoins ($2 million US).

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
So, the Wolverine game had medkits, huh?

Does anybody remember that X-Men: Destiny game? One of the producers said that when they implemented the boss battle with the Juggernaut, they thought it would be a good idea to shoot his helmet off in order to defeat him because he was, you know, the fucking Juggernaut, bitch. But the higher-ups just said to keep shooting at him to defeat him.

When the game came out, the bulk of Silicon Knights higher-ups got a lore manual from Marvel Comics. That was embarrassing. That's the story I could remember.

The whole DLC was underwhelming; it was a three phase rogue-like, where shit from Kratos's mind manifests, and at the end he eventually forgives himself while he monologues at his younger self sitting on Ares's Throne. I managed the whole thing (and trophies) within about 7 hours, and part of that was just figuring shit out, powering up, and a bit of de-rusting.

The last Marvel game I remember playing was the... 2013ish Deadpool game. The people who made that game at least captured the spirit of who Deadpool is and going with the weird obnoxious shit he does. I remember Mr. Sinister being in that game, but not even as a boss fight, and he looked, like his old style, IIRC.
Psylocke was in that one! And Rogue.

I feel bad for Insomniac. Idk. Like its just really shitty for ppl to do that.

This empathy and compassion bullshit for a leaked game is absurd. I’ve said it many times, but we are forehead deep in a mental health crisis in the west.
Emotionally incontinent tards should not have power.

Your game leaked, shrug it off and keep working if you really think you’ve got a solid project to deliver.
The fact that people are really being kept up at night over a company they don’t work at, and devs they don’t know personally, having their game leaked is so sad. I have a lot more to worry about in my daily life than a video game getting leaked. And anyway, the elites love when people focus on and get invested in shit like that. It distracts from issues that actually matter.

I feel like there were a lot more cape games back in the PS2 era compared to now.
Consoles from the 80s through 2000s had a variety of capeshit games
gow 2018 was fucking trash
2000s Kratos >>>> 2018 onward Kratos
It's crazy that the X-Men Origins game is going to be the *only* one that ever gets Wolverine right.
Funny how that tie-in game is still way better than the movie itself

I've heard consoomers use the excuse it could give people an "unrealistic" idea of what the game would be.

But honeestly, so many games come out shitty that I don't see how Alpha/Beta footage or screenshots are going to make them think the game will be *better* than how it releases.
There's a reason "bullshotting" was a thing back in the E3 days. The final product is less good than what the previews show, a combination of marketers overhyping the product to unrealistic standards, and the developers cutting back their vision to make a deadline.

Specific games usually have one issue more than the other. If the whole game doesn't receive massive downgrades, there's usually a part in the game within the first third where you get to see the game firing on all cylinders and wish the rest of the game was like that. (For Deus Ex it's the Hong Kong area, for instance).

Learn to code, Insomniac! No, really.
Mainstream companies that have marketing in PR cannot learn to code, especially considering the companies consist of boomers they think they know their targeted audiences.

Why the shit is there a crafting system? Wolverine is like the superhero least likely to need to craft weapons.
He needs to craft bandages!
No no... he needs to craft beer and burgers to replenish his life... just like in the NES game!

We've come full circle!

It be weird to have a Wolverine game without blood, especially if it's aping God of War. Not to mention that I can't think of many M rated games without some level of gore or ultra violence.
