Also, EA took action when modders like ColonelNutty made bestiality and CP mods for The Sims 4, and also banned the EA accounts of people that used those mods. Modders like TURBRODRIVER (creator of WickedWhims) and SACRIFICIAL (creator of Extreme Violence) also said that they had to disable their interactions for their mods specifically on the High School lot and/or for Teens when the High School Years EP released, presumably so that EA doesn't go after them.

It's likely that Krafton will have to be more serious about taking down the really fucked up mods, because the South Korean government has very strict anti-pornography laws. Krafton also has a history of going after PUBG modders, although IIRC, that didn't really fix the game's issues with hackers.

I think the main thing a lot of these Sims competitors are missing is charm. Everyone talks about how wacky and goofy Sims 1-2 (and arguably 3 at points) are, but nobody seems to actually take it into account as an important facet of the series. It's a huge part of why the Sims 4 is so hated-- they killed the unique Maxis style of humor in favor of retarded qUirKy reddit shit-- but nobody making a competitor seems to be able to pick up on that.

My wife doesn't play a lot of video games but she likes the Sims 3 and plays it fairly often. I read your comment and I was curious to see what she would think so I showed her the trailer for it. She said she likes the idea of something like the Sims but not the Sims but it looks too realistic and that she would feel bad about killing the characters. I do tend to hear a lot of horrifying screams coming from her laptop when she plays it so that checks out I guess.

Zois are straight and "cis" by default. You have to create faggots and add them to the city.

You also can't have a baby out of wedlock and only hetero couples can have babies, no adoption yet. Based.

I like it so far. Actions take forever, having to clean the house is realistic but annoying. I wish doors and other wall decor would hide along with the walls.

The karma system seems cool, but it's apparently hard to move karma from bad to good (according to my friend). It's not silly like The Sims, but there's some humorous things.

If you choose a non-rabbithole career it's difficult to slack off by talking to your coworkers for long. They automatically try to work. Which is pretty cool. At the end of the day everyone starts cleaning the office which is such an Asian thing to do.

If your zoi cooks good quality food they clap and cheer. Cute.

There's a shoulder level camera which is nice for screenshots.

It's fun so far and I can't wait to see what they do with it.

That’s something that would give them an edge, because the maps in Sims 4 are unacceptable. Creating your own world, with lot sizes/amounts of your choice is sorely missed.

This is what I'm hoping for the most. I always loved creating neighborhoods and worlds in sims 2 and 3. They have been mostly quiet on it unless I missed something. They did a Q&A on their discord and said no, because the computational load

I have played 2-3 hours, and so far it is very reminiscent of The Sims 3. Solid considering it is early access, and I am optimistic of future updates.
