ITT We argue about how fatties get fat, why they stay fat, and what they should do instead - It's a mystery! It's an obesity sperging containment thread!

gastric bypass can cause more problems than it solves. that's why it's the last resort for people who are in immediate danger of dying due to their size. however to even qualify for it you have to show that you are committed to losing the weight on your own. there is no point in having a surgery if you can't because regression can actually be life threatening.

but why not adjustable gastric band? the surgery is short and is the safest of them all, and most of the problems that can happen post-surgery can be easily fixed with another minor surgery. it's very popular in the UK (at least from what i've seen watching various YT uk fat shows) and its documented effect is among the highest out of all weight loss procedures.

here's the surgery for those interested

Lap band surgery does not work well long term. Gastric surgery with intestinal shortening (roux en y) has the best long term results wrt weight loss. It has the most vitamin deficiency complications as well, but that's the trade off. You can stretch your stomach out again but you can't affect the intestinal shortening, a roux en y patient will always absorb fewer calories for life.

We actually donated all of ours to the local hospice provider because they needed them.

Fun fact: One of the hospitals used in My 600-lb Life (I think St. Luke's) uses bariatric beds made by an Italian company that also makes scales used for weighing trains.

That... is unfortunate for America's reputation abroad.

I mean, we're already the fattest kid on the playground. We're #1! We're #1! We're #1!
Are we? I'll admit I'm too lazy to check for sources right now, but I thought at least another country had finally taken that crown. Like sometime in the last decade... I might just be thinking of Mexico and some Middle Eastern countries catching up to us.

Mexico, Australia and New Zealand are all super fucking fat but I think US is still top fattest currently.

In this age of instant information, I am surprised so many haven't developed the impulse to look things up:

The good ole USA ranks 18th in the world, not first.

However, if we toss out little Pacific Ocean islands and smaller countries like Kuwait, then the US comes in second place, behind Egypt. Saudi Arabia is right behind.

Which I guess shows we didn't have to look it up after all...

You'd be correct. There are some Island Nations fatter than us, maybe even middle Eastern.
Tonga and Samoa, off the top of my head.

the statistics maps kinda suck for a few reasons. A lot of non-fat people have obese BMIs because they have a lot of muscle on them. Another problem is that research mostly looks at what places have the most people who surpass the obese bmi marker, but not how many greatly surpass the obese BMI marker. An adult with a BMI not much higher than 35 isn't very alarming to look at, and there are a lot of them in many countries. they aren't looking for the prevalence of death fats, which is what I really want to know. People who have a BMI of 70 or more. The "super morbidly obese type III" group is only a BMI of 40 or more, someone who is 5'2"( like amberlynn ) would have a BMI of 40 at only 220 pounds.

This. I'd also be curious. I mean, I'm in Germany land and as I understand, it's at least one of the fatter european countries, but the worst you'll see on the street is people in the high 200-low 300lbs, and they tend to have more muscle too. But when it comes to how many near-immobile deathfats there are in the world? I want to see the numbers, because I'd be incredibly surprised if 90% of them weren't in the US.

I would think that per capita based on the number of people in this country, we have to be winning that race. Who knows, as an American, it is my Constitutional duty to be too lazy to find out.

Nobody really tracks the deathfats (by which I mean like a BMI of 75 or someshit) because they're such a small percentage of the population. If you work in public health and you're worried about healthcare utilization and spending due to obesity then you're mainly worried about the gigantic and worrisome number of people who are morbidly obese and developing complications from it. People who manage to eat themselves into a triple-digit BMI are actually pretty rare even in the US.

I did however thumb through the NHS' official weight statistics a while back and they definitely do have some deathfats in the UK, so they're out there.

Samoa possibly - if only Amber could fit on a plane she could look like part of the herd.

It is part of the culture in some countries. You invite people over for a birthday? If you do not serve dinner, you are a terrible host and they will gossip. Guests may bring food in addition to a gift. You will eat for 4 hours straight.

As far as Samoa, Tonga etc goes:

A real man is big. Death is not to be feared. Those islanders are something else.
At 5:49 Being a man is being big. The daughter calls him not a man because he is too thin and she would not want him.
Of course they feed their guest well. Islands, so different yet so alike. I think it has to do with the slower pace of life in those places, more liming.

Hamber would be all real woman and have men lining up. Lezbeenism is not that accepted from what I know so she will have to make due with dick. Not that deathfats fuck a lot if at all so she should be fine with that.

Yes. Yes there are indeed uk deathfats. Case in point...(just fucking wow)

And you know AL would look at that man and it wouldnt phase her. She is the exception. It wont happen to her. I cant wrap my head around that kind of delusion. Or maybe its just narcissism. Rich from reviewtechusa has been losing weight lately and he put up a video talking about what the catalyst for it was. That being a family picture he saw himself in where he at 400+ pounds is the size of 3 of the other people in the photo. The interesting thing is that he mentioned one of the most effective lifestyle changes he made was simply not drinking so much coffee because he calculated in creamer alone he was consuming over 1000 calories a day. It was that simple. One change of habit and he excised 1000 calories from his diet per day. Even that small sacrfice would be asking too much of the queen. Shes gonna die in that bed with her head buried between her massive unwashed tits like that guy above. Just hope the ride lasts a little longer.

Edited because im bad at life.

Amber I know you read kiwi farms. If by any miracle, Thor himself came to Kentucky and makes you lose weight, this is how you'll look like. Be happy doing mukbangs in your own coffin
