well, all i can say is that this a tad better than the sega vhs tape video, because here, he actually seems to have interest in the subject he's talking about! i think ive learned more about this tape compared to the sega tape.

too bad its not going to get as many views as that video, let alone any non-avgn video.

Don't know what new things he would say/deny beyond his old ED article, but I'll put this in anyway.
Christ, look at the views on that channel. I guess Craig needs more money after selling Screw Attack? Big question: will he go over how he fucked over his ex-friend Handsome Tom out of co-ownership of Screw Attack?

I'm guessing probably not. It seems like he just does damage control or just says I haven't talked to him in years like for Guru Larry.
Someone did do an interview with him where he mentioned that he hadn't talked to Tom in 4 years.

On one hand, I mean, as long as James actually enjoys doing and has passion for Rex Viper, that's fine.

On the other hand:

Rewatching AVGN from the start, it's amazing how literally every guest star is funnier and has better chemistry with the Nerd than Mike Matei, yet Matei is the one who's stuck around
iirc AVGN as an "ongoing show" outside of those planned first 3 videos was technically Mike's idea, in addition to a bunch of the shit he reviewed before he really got a big collection. James likely (unfortunately) probably considers AVGN a two-man operation that Mike should get nearly half the credit for doing

The videos with Kyle were peak AVGN. It's a real shame anyone moderately interesting in the Jamesphere gets thrown out eventually.

I watched this new one too, thought it was pretty "meh"...but mainly because I'm a huge Zeppelin fan, so I was irritated that James didn't understand all of the band's lore in the movie.

I think its because they believe the room has gotten a little smaller I guess?

On one hand, I don't know who would ever dare to recreate the room in its entirety with the exact same ceiling, floor tiles, organization of games, etc., regardless of how loyal James' friends might be. On the other hand, it's always been just a section of his basement, not the entirety of it.

I'm comparing how James stands up straight in the room between this older video and the linked video.

It doesn't look too different, apart from some stuff rearranged for the room's modernization.
the nerd room and the rental setup are just sets at screenwave media

Well, this was pretty refreshing. It's not a totally stunning episode, but its way better than the borefest that was Sega Tapes, it's almost like a classic episode (almost). Maybe they should do more short episodes like this, it'd be better than having to use skits to pad out the video.

(speaking of skits, Mr. Rigs is in the episode, but thankfully at the end of it)
