I think what makes James frustrating compared to outright scumbags like Boogie is that there's still plenty of content for him to review. People meme how out of touch he is but there's plenty of SNES/Genesis gems he could review. Joe from Game Sack does that but he's a black void of personality, the best result atp would be for Joe and James to merge like the former keeps meming about.

Edit; how about a more detailed review of Castlevania: Bloodlines other than "it's good but not as good as 4". Come on, so easy to come up with decent ideas.

Come to think of it, he barely ever reviewed any games solely for those systems.

Of course the NES has more games, but there are plenty of games on those systems that could be talked about (holding out for his Cool Spot review).

Speaking of which, I wonder when he’ll get to Conker’s Bad Fur Day? It has to be up his alley given its jokes and references to other movies.

Yeah, it's weird. He at least played Link to the Past. I guess he regressed to only being able to handle an NES controller.

Instead of boring Reddit drama, we should be talking about the embarrassing numbers from the last two AVGN videos. After almost one month the Sega VHS Tapes episode still hasn't cracked 1kk views, keep in mind that two or so years ago an AVGN episode could get to 1kk views in 24 hours. And the last video is stuck at 600k after 4 days.

Things are getting ugly for Cinemassacre.

Yup, it's not looking good. This is what happens when you kept putting out too much of a mediocre product. People will get sick of it and move on. The issue is if AVGN can no longer gets views, what is James going to do instead?

Either he is gonna keep doing it until he dies because the slobs force him to, or after AVGN he won't have time to do anything else thats cool and will make generic top 10 videos and occasionally make something cool.

Alot is talking for it ending sooner or later, how they managed the department of Mike indicates zero planning skills. Also what happened with "this year will be super productive in AVGN terms"? Who in their right mind thought that pretending the Michelangelo crashing a AVGN panel was a full fledged AVGN episode would go over well?

Wait they consider Michelangelo crashing a panel to be a whole episode? that's fucking retarded. I literally stopped watching after the Shrek episode was trying to be Channel Awesome.

Okay, just took a look at the video. The whole channel as a whole has turned to shit in general. I remember when getting 1 million views on a AVGN video was pretty much guaranteed to happen within a day or two at the most.

Who's still watching Cinnemassacre anymore? Can't be the OG viewers, they're all dead or moved on. Kids don't care about the topic. Fans of retro? The retro game craze has passed. The only people I think that are still watching are some of the less intelligent OG fans or people suddenly remembering AVGN from the back of their minds and looking it up to see what happened to it. Though the audience is shrinking by the day.
