Well, this was pretty refreshing. It's not a totally stunning episode, but its way better than the borefest that was Sega Tapes, it's almost like a classic episode (almost). Maybe they should do more short episodes like this, it'd be better than having to use skits to pad out the video.

(speaking of skits, Mr. Rigs is in the episode, but thankfully at the end of it)

I wish I could say it was better than just okay, but it really wasn't. In a way modern AVGN it's inoffensive when it's not full of boring skits, but the way AVGN is inoffensive is barely a step above boring.

Tbh, I didn't get a single laugh out of this episode. Really disappointing considering the same people behind Superman 64 was involved with this game as well. Even the weird tape episode got at least a chuckle out of me, but this episode was bland and formulaic.

I saw a comment saying that the person hopes the 200th episode will be special, well I do too.

I hope he goes balls to the wall with actual effort jokes and production and says that he's done making videos so he can move on with his life. Just looking at this stuff really proves he's got next to nothing left in him.

I personally just want James to retire because it's so obvious he doesn't want to do it anymore. If you make content that you hate, you just end up becoming a joke of yourself. I don't want to see James become a bitter tard like others we catalog on this site because he had no other choice/wanting to take the easy route.

I didn't have any problem with the episode, I found some parts of it funny, and it introduced me a port of Carmangeddon I didn't know existed (let alone one made by the creators of Superman 64).

I guess most of us are in a state of shock after that Sega tapes video, which had to be the biggest mixture of cringy and boring anyone's ever witnessed.

I think he was trying to be a little more informative than usual, which is fine for the most part, but I do understand why some people might be bored because of that.

None of the script is James' though right? Just the Screenwave faggots

Edit: my thoughts, at best his newest videos "aren't bad" but when there's a million fucking gaming channels on youtube I don't see the point. I'd rather watch Joe from Game Sack at least he actually cares about what he's talking about.

It's the right format, but Kierian's writing and James' acting are not up to par.

Apparently, Cinemassacre's producer is working on new show ideas:

It always seems for long in the tooth youtube channels to go in 2 directions: streaming or podcasts. It's an indication that they are burned out and they have nothing left to offer, but they still want easy money at the end of the day. I hope Cinemassacre doesn't go full Pat The Nes Punk where the channel is basically podcast clips and little else.

Who do they think wants to watch these unkempt faggots talk about anything? Their shitty rlm knockoff show was miserable and none of the slobs have even an ounce of charisma, least of all that fat sociopath silverman.
If he can get James to call in on a regular basis, it could have some level of success, with minimal effort involved. Although they're a bit late on the podcast game.

The latest one was just...bland. It and Legend of Kage just felt the same: done for the sake of having to make something. Usually when I think James has lost it, he comes back with an episode that proves he has something left in the tank. I don't feel that he will this time. At least the Monster Madness theme this year sounds promising

Should have known he had shit taste when he badmouthed Mischief Makers. He tried to backtrack but there was no reason to show the game in that context unless he dislikes it.

Maybe one of Treasure's weaker efforts but only compared to bangers like Gunstar Heroes, Alien Soldier (underrated game, maybe if he were still cool he would review it), and Radiant Silvergun/Ikaruga.

Too bad James isn't the one writing the reviews. https://archive.md/ix5M8
