He was either killed by someone or was allowed to suicide himself. I think it's more likely that someone told the "suicide watchers" to turn a blind eye while Jeff was doing sudoku, just like how the police who were accompanying him to his office during his sentence allowed Jeff to get "massages" from "young assistants" every day.

Ok chaps, allow me to suggest a somewhat optimistic take

Epstein knew that him dying would, as has been pointed out earlier in the thread, ensure that there will be absolutely zero legal challenge on searching his other properties and getting all kinds of dirt on all kinds of people. People who had utterly failed to bail him out and had infact likely been trying to plea bargain their way out of serious consequences by testifying against him.

He also likely knew that his suspicious suicide in jail would ensure an absolute clusterfuck of attention and outrage be thrown at the case for god knows how long afterwards.

He was also almost certain that there would be zero fun way out of this for him, and he had either a nightmarish prison stay ahead of him or just straight up execution.

What if this really was an honest to god suicide? What if this was his final and ultimate "fuck you" to everyone, those who wanted to try him, those who failed to defend him, and those who were trying to snitch on him to reduce their own punishments?

This could well have been his ultimate Scorched Earth policy to ensure if he went down, everyone else went down with him

"Looked like" being the interesting bit.
It's also possible whoever had the job of keeping an eye on him was paid to look the other way and he really did kill himself.
Or it was just the Clintons. But I guess we'll never know.

He might have gotten off. He was placed on it two weeks ago. Dunno how long it lasted. Not long enough evidently. Like I said before. Murder, coverup, suicide all seem plausible in this instance. This is a high profile guy you would think was being taken care of very fucking seriously so something like this didn't happen. Someone's head should roll for this.

That's normally what I would say and it very likely might still happen. I just don't know that it will. The fact he was even arrested in the first place after decades of this being public knowledge and getting off the hook the first go around makes me think it won't in this instance. Thinking this will go somewhere is definitely optimistic, but not entirely unwarranted imo.

If he was dead by the time they got to him why did they have him on an oxygen pump as they were wheeling him into the hospital?

While I think in most places paramedics can pronounce death, I don't know if they can in NY. Also, it's better to be on the safe side and start CPR on the way to the hospital and pronounce death there. They probably have protocols for it.
