I knew Cobes already looked much older than he is, but this is a perfect capture of what a 45 year old looks like.
Minus the tacky, immature nailpolish etc.

Yeah I didn't really realise that. I do wonder if he lost some kilos, stopped wearing the collar, and groomed, what would he look like?

i’ve joked to friends about josh being so broke to a point where he makes his own liquor. glad to know i’m pretty good at predicting the future

edit: not surprised he doesn’t have that device where it burps co2 from the wine. let’s hope he doesn’t forget about it and it blows up in his apartment lololol

He is severely underestimating how much co2 is produced in the first 72 hours while the yeast is most active. If he doesnt buy or make an airlock, hes going to have to burp that bottle every hour.

Hell, a ballon, with the opening stretched over the mouth of the bottle, held secure with a rubber band, and a tiny pin prick on the baloon body is the cheapest and easiest airlock he could do. The co2 pressure is higher than the outside air and it will press out of the hole without letting air back in.

He could also drill a hole into the lid of the bottle, glue or epoxy a rubber hose into the hole, and then run the hose down into a cup of water beside the bottle with the wine.

Either of those options he could probably do with shit he has laying around his apartment.

Cobra doesn't do anything. You might as well be asking him to build a lunar lander with what you've outlined right there.

God I hope this thing blows up while he's drunk on stream.

So what's the risk of his hooch getting contaminated and he gets botulism? Then again this is the fucker who will gleefully chow down on a bug infested burrito.

Some of the symptoms of botulism are:

  • Double vision
  • Blurred vision
  • Drooping eyelids
  • Slurred speech
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • A thick-feeling tongue
  • Dry mouth
  • Muscle weakness
As the disease gets worse, you may develop more symptoms, such as:

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Paralysis (can’t move your body)

He's already got botulism, boi.

I think the risk of that happening is pretty low. The yeast will outcompete anything else for a while and we know Cobra isn't going to wait patiently. If he forgets about it, maybe, but I predict he will drink it as soon as it stops aggresively bubbling in about a week.

I wonder if he is even going to siphon the wine out of the bottle and leave the lees (dead yeast at the bottom) behind as per normal, or pour the whole mixture out directly and drink everything, including the sludge.
