Mead update!
By this afternoon, to my suprise, the Cookie Monster Mead has turned a milky opaque color. Much of the cookie and banana have disolved and settled to the bottom. The sugar and honey apear to have dispersed thoroughly into the liquid. It actually looks
less gross today then it did yesterday.
Which brings up a curious point of observation, and I beleive may confirm something a few of us have suspected that Cobes may have heen doing to his meads.
Yesterday, when Josh uploaded his mead update, his cookie monster brew
looked nothing like what my batch is looking like right now. It was not milky, and for all intents and purposes, looked no different then it did when he first threw together his batch. This either means:
His "update" was actaully filmed on the same day he made it. Why he would do this I am not sure.
OR (And I'm m leaning towards this)
He has added
real alcohol to his mead. Probably hard liqour. The alcohol has killed off any yeast in his mead and there is essentially no activity going on, so it looks the same as the day before. He may have realized during his first few batches, that he was not making anything with a substantial alcohol content, and started adding real liqour to his meads so when he finally does drink it, it gives the illusion he actually brewed hard booze and he can get a solid buzz off it.

Anyways.
To my suprise, my Cookie Monster mead HAS begun showing activity, and the airlock has begun to bubble. Slowly, but its going.
