I had a close friend who I played a lot with and half of the time we would end up in a shouting match with each other after getting ourselves into some type of weird contradictory situation neither of us were absolutely sure of the way to handle. We both ended up selling all our cards in bulk to some geek one day and called it quits.

I recently found a single green deck I either forgot to sell or kept for nostalgia or something. The one OK card in the deck I kept is an Avatar Of Might. I don't know why I kept the green deck since black was always my favorite. I wish I kept my Avatar Of Woe instead. :'-(

*I also have two gigantic novelty cards that are like 20 years old.

Lattice is just some janky billion mana artifact.

printing a planeswalker who can negative straight off the bat to win the game the following turn if not killed was exceptional

I was being a bit facetious with the lattice comment, it is a fairly unique in what it does in graywashing everything. I'd wager if anything related to the combo eats a ban in modern it'll be Lattice before Karn for sure.

Lattice, while weird is not quite on the level of some weird-ass shit like Bridge from Below though.

No doubt, its like when they banned bridge from below instead of hogaak.

Sometimes a card just shouldnt exist in a format (hogakk being the hilarious example where they literally printed the card in a set named after the format it was broken in)

Rk Post was the best artist next to Jon Avon

Lattice is relatively harmless.

I've got a playmat of his "Not Skeletor" art. It's called "Keldor Lost" if you're interested in finding it.

They'll ban the older card as opposed to the planeswalker from the new set most assuredly. I honestly don't think either will get banned though, you normally have a bit of time to stop them from getting tron online and resolving the lattice. Where I play almost everybody bitches about Urza, now anyway.

Urza is so easy to disrupt, not to mention it’s easy to draw bunk with it. Never seen that art though, that’s so cool lol

Yeah the winning the game thing with Urza requires 3 cards. While not super difficult to assemble it's not some magic "I win" deck if you keep the Thopter Foundry out the picture you stand a very good chance of beating them. The deck pretty much lives or dies by if it gets a turn 2 foundry out.

Lol the new decks try to optimize foundry, of all things? There are such better uses for 7 mana turn 3 (optimally speaking).

Ok @murgatroid sorry but sperging for a moment. Goddamn do I remember playing Woe and Might when I worked at a card shop when I was younger.

Thank you for the memory lane trip.

Think you're getting Thopter Foundry mixed up with Lattice or something else cause foundry is just CMC 2 (U,B/W)

Hell Urza on his own is pretty damn good just for generating value off the Temporal Aperture effect.

Don't forget he brings the construct token along with him. Which should be fairly large if the games is going remotely well for the Urza player.

"The Magic Gathering" actually gives it a slightly more occult context to me as well.
We actually had a MagicFest at my city and I passed by the Convention center it was held out for a week with a sign saying MagicFest! With the dates.

I didn't go because I thought it was like... the business convention for the Guild of Illusionist, Conjurers, and Magicians...

Nope, just smelly nerds and the occasional troon flopping cards for the most part I'd wager.

Unless you count titty skiddles and SRA as a glamour or something?

No I do not!

As for my Commander Deck, I've culled out some cards so I can add in Demonic, Diabolic, and Enlightened Tutor, Necro, Purgatory, and Ghostly Prison.

I have some life pay tech in the deck, so I run in Font of Agonies. I know it's not cheap, but I really like it and it's only 2 mana to activate and if I get plenty of counters from Necro and Purgatory...

Found this on FB Marketplace listed as competitive modern decks... sure buddy, sure they are competitive.

I think somebody is just selling their old/new standard junk and trying to be sly about it.
