Throwing my hat into the wind, here's my current serious theory of what's happened, based on the evidence as well as my own inference. Note that this is technically conjecture, so don't take it at face value and only share it with context.
Chris
did get bonded out at 10:04am on March 27. VineLink updated immediately as soon as the bond was paid, while Chris was still in jail. The bond was paid/arranged either by a member of Praetor, by a family member, or
maybe by some random enabler we don't know about. I don't think anyone else has any real likelihood of being involved;
- Null lives nowhere near Virginia and has more important issues to care about.
- Chris would want nothing to do with Kengle after the letter he sent and Kengle also hasn't shown much interest in Chris lately.
- Ralph has fuckall money at this point.
- Sockness is too incompetent and the court probably wouldn't trust him enough to release Chris into his custody.
- Anyone else has too tenuous of a connection with Chris to give a fuck.
The transportation order was given to transport Chris to the courthouse, in order to inform him of his bond and discuss the terms. Chris has presumably been given a transportation order to the courthouse once before, on August 10, 2022 to discuss the details of his deferred disposition, so this is something we know he could get a transportation order for. After his terms were discussed, Chris was officially given an order for release. This order was registered on the court docket, as well as a letter to or from Heilberg regarding Chris's disposition, and VineLink was updated again to reflect Chris's actual release. I do
not believe Chris was released to a group home; it was clear for months that Chris and Heilberg were having absolutely no luck finding a group home, even contacting some like Gateway Homes out of desperation, but having seen Gateway Homes' terms, I don't think there's
any way they'd accept Chris, especially given the recent group home overpopulation crisis.
I believe Chris's bond was approved as a last resort to house him or get him room and board, in order to give him a chance to justify his deferred disposition. Chris and Heilberg could not find a group home and could not have proceeded with the disposition without one, so Heilberg finally gave in and housed Chris with a family member or enabler just to give him a chance to fulfill the terms and actually get the case dropped.
I doubt Chris has had his internet access restricted beyond
maybe a curfew; supreme court decisions have made that more and more difficult, as a post pointed out earlier. I think his silence is more likely explained by him having a dead phone with no plan, having trouble remembering passwords/being locked out of his accounts, being busy moving in somewhere he hasn't lived before, and decompressing after nearly 2 years in jail. I suspect he'll be active in the next few days.
