It's possible he's drugged up, but it's also possible just prison life in general has made him eventually knock off the dimensional merge larping because he finally realized it hasn't helped.
Chris hasn't been to prison, he's in jail. But yeah, I agree 100%. He looks upset, sure, but that doesn't mean he's on any kind of mood stabilizing drugs. He could be, but there's no way to tell just by looking at his sad, pitiful face on that photo.
The reality is, he's been in jail for quite a long time now. That would make anyone depressed, especially an unbalanced, mother raping, spazzed out retard, like Chris Chandler.
As far as all the dimensional merge stuff goes, I bet every time he had to sit down with a psychologist in the psych hospital, and brought that crap up, he was challenged on it and was made to explain wtf he was talking about. Hopefully, things such as, "If you're this powerful, shape-shifting, teleporting, Jesus like figure, why did you get caught raping your disabled mother? Why are you in jail? Why don't you use your magic powers to just go home? Obviously, that's where you'd rather be rather than this horrible jail."
I hope it made him come face to face with his crime and his hopeless situation, in a way that he had to really consider what he did, where he's at, and why he's being punished by society
Chris is dumb but he's not brain damaged, nor does he have hallucinations like a schizophrenic, and all the doctors examining him over time in that hospital know this.
All his weird belief systems are nothing more than madeup nonsense that he heard from video games and tv/movies, and he pretends to treat those phony beliefs like they're his personal dogma.
The doctor's are going to challenge him on his flaky worldview and question him about all of his nonsense beliefs. For the first time, he would have been forced to explain himself to actual psychological professionals rather than his obsessed, enabling internet "fans" which would not have gone well. They aren't impressed by his idiosyncrasies and oddities, nor do they care or recognize any of the video game references featured in his new "religion".
All they're seeing is a fat, disgusting rapist with autism who has been enabled by idiots who wanted to be part of his dumb saga.
They'll see a liar who is spouting off some of the most idiotic bullshit ever thought up by a single person, probably thinking that him saying all that drivel is a poor, misguided attempt at coming off "crazy" and unfit to go back to jail. As many have said, the hospital is probably at least a little bit more bearable than the actual jail, even if not by much.
What they aren't seeing from him is any legitimate mental illness or anything that would keep him out of jail, or from standing trail eventually, or out of prison if sentenced to it.
As
@The Grimace said, Chris could have stopped blabbing about the dimensional merge, at least to the psychologists/doctors/jail staff once he realized it wasn't his ticket to easy street.
What I see from that picture is a profoundly sad man who, the realization of where he is and what he's facing, has set in fully.
People keep saying drugs, idk anything about that, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's a guarantee that they've got him on a hefty dose of anti-depressants. He's lost weight and I've always heard that most of those mood stabilizing drugs make you gain weight, typically.
Besides just being in jail and eating 3 very basic square meals a day rather than fast food filled with sugars and fats whenever he felt like it, not to mention candy, cokes ,and snacks in between.... but you know what else besides his new, basic jail diet would make him drop weight? Being depressed because you've been in jail away from everything for a long time and you're facing very serious, long term consequences for raping your own mother.
