Minecraft

Something something I have a mod pack something something.

Any word on a native PS5/Xbox Series client and perhaps even RT?

Ok. Since the zoomer chudbud fiasco, I have noticed the enthusiasm of an number of Kiwis for an MC server, other than ourselves. Should a thread be opened specifically for this ?

I'd say so, but I think you should consult the mods about it. We already have an "official KF Minecraft Server" thread after all.

The update
Oh, alright. Keep in mind that everything listed here isn't all that's coming to the update:

  • Bamboo is finally getting its own plank variant with its related blocks and a Block of Bamboo (which is basically the Bamboo's "log" block).
    • In addition, its also getting a Mosaic plank variant.
    • Also the Bamboo Block can be stripped.
  • Piglins heads are now obtainable.
  • A new variant of signs called "hanging signs" are coming to the game.
    • They're crafted using six stripped logs and two chains.
  • Skulk Sensors can now be crafted into "Calibrated Skulk Sensors"
    • They function similarly to skulk sensors, but it will only listen to a vibration frequency equal to the strength of the redstone signal put into it (no, I will not explain vibration frequencies).
  • Chiseled Bookshelves are coming to the game.
    • Its a bookshelf variant that you can store up to six books into. This includes enchanted books and written books.
    • It also interacts with redstone tool blocks, so you can also have fun with that.
  • Decorated Pots are coming to the game.
    • They can either be crafted using four bricks or up to four pottery shards (more on that later).
Formally a part of the Caves & Cliffs update, Archeology is finally back.
  • In order to get started, you need to craft a Brush.
    • The brush is crafted using a stick, a copper ingot and a feather.
  • With the brush, you can start brushing "suspicious" blocks in order to get items out of them.
  • You can find a wide variety of items in these blocks. Some of those include the newly added pottery shards and Sniffer Eggs.
    • Pottery shards can be found in all of the suspicious sand blocks.
      • There are currently 20 different pottery shards you can obtain and they can be used to craft the decorated pot.
    • The Sniffer egg can be found in the suspicious sand of warm ocean ruins.
  • From the recent mob vote comes the Sniffer mob!
    • The sniffer doesn't spawn naturally and can only spawn through the hatching of its egg.
      • It takes 20 minutes to hatch one. Hatching it on a moss block makes it hatch in 10 minutes.
    • They can be used to dig up unique plant seeds
      • There are currently two: The Torchflower seed and the Pitcher pod.
        • These seeds must first be grown through tilted soil like crops. Then, once they've fully grown, you can harvest and plant them normally.
          • The plants themselves are purely decorative.
    • Once you have two sniffers, you can use torchflowers to breed them and have an endless supply of sniffer eggs.
    • They also drop moss blocks on death.
  • There's also the new mount mob, Camels!
    • Up to two players can ride a camel.
    • They can also randomly choose to sit down.
      • While sitting, it's difficult to convince it to move.
    • They're two blocks tall meaning you ride one through a group melee mobs and be just fine.
      • They can also walk over 1.5 block tall obstacles such as fences.
    • Instead of jumping, they can "dash" across several blocks with it extending to over ten blocks if executed perfectly. This will tire them out however meaning they won't be able to sprint or dash for a few seconds afterwards.
  • Cherry Blossom biomes are coming to the game.
    • Its a mountain biome that will consist of the cherry blossom trees, flower carpet blocks (or "pink petals") and cherry wood blocks.
  • Trail ruins are a new structure that generate in the world.
The Smithing table went through a rework and now requires the use of the newly added Smithing Templates.
  • There are currently two types. Upgrade templates (of which there is only one) and Armor Trims.
    • The "Netherite Upgrade" template is now needed in addition to Netherite ingots in order to upgrade Diamond armor to Netherite armor.
      • These templates can only be found in treasure room chests of Piglin Bastions.
    • Armor trims are used to give your armor some visual flair. There are currently 16 different trims you can obtain.
      • The Trims are can be applied to any armor piece and can be colored using most of the ore items in the game.
      • They can found in the chest of certain structures. Although, there are some exceptions:
        • The "tide" armor trim can sometimes be dropped from an Elder Guardian upon death.
        • The "Host", "Raiser", "Shaper" and "Wayfinder" trims can be found in the suspicious sand and gravel of Trail ruins.
      • It should also be noted that KingBDogz stated that the "Silence" trim in the rarest armor trim you can find.
  • The templates are consumed once they're used, but you can duplicate them using the following items:
    • The template itself, its respective block and 7 diamonds.

And that should be everything. If you want a more in-depth summary of everything currently shown, here's the link to the wiki.

The Xbox one and Xbox 360 Editions of Minecraft are the based discontinued versions I still play when I can.

When Microsoft force fucked me to merge my Mocuck and Softcock accounts together; I fucking knew Minecraft was dead.

2B2T is a perfect representation of 4chan... Overran by normies and later shaped into Super Mega Reddit with the illusion of being the "Based resistance."

Has anyone here tried the april fools snapshot? From what I've seen of it, it looks like a pretty good time.

Still on 1.7.10 for one of my modpacks, though I may graduate from that soon. Any cool magic mods so far for the newer versions? Ars Nouveau seems to look pretty cool for 1.19.x.

An alt-account dropbox or google drive will come later this week.
google drive? you reminded me of our boy :(
I started playing this and now I am being sucked into the autism void that is GregTech, help.
in the beginning it's fairly simple but then you get to copper age and it will be the make or break factor for you.
i already knew it was made by a tech obsessed nigger and dropped it once someone recommended me that pack, then called him a fag.
Minecraft, where toddlers think they have a future in game dev
you are mistaking it for roblox, it's all right, all underage users do that.
Warforge (mod) or Towny (plugin) ?
the one that is lighter on client, which is the plugin.

Actually, I gave up on MV age because now I have to figure out oil processing and I barely figured out how to run the Blast Furnace at MV tier without having dropouts and I have no idea how to plan this shit out. Some tutorials or tips on good power generation and oil processing setups could help.

What I came up with was to make a Greenhouse with a solar powered steam to LV generation make wood that would get processed in a Pyrolysis Oven into charcoal and then have that sent to a large boiler that manages to sorta kinda run the MV tier Blast Furnace, the LV grid and the MV grid, with all three of them having their own battery buffers.

The issue is that this large boiler is already not efficient enough to run everything, the oil pump will probably require one of those more efficient energy generation methods and won't run on solar alone, and I have no idea how to balance everything out so that every large machine and every grid gets enough power, and then how to get more efficient power generation from oil processing running on it's own.

One thing you'd do in IndustrialCraft 2 is to make a biomass generator that would rely on an automatic multi-level cactus farm, and in that mod it was a very efficient way to keep all of your shit running continuously without you having to manually feed it more resources to run. In the Thermal mods you can do a similar setup with tree sap. This greenhouse>pyrolysis>boiler loop is kinda like that but not as good but idk how to make it better.
