Resetera pretty much killed Etika. It's a terrorist website.

Not much to say just the Ion Fury rage is still going, though dying down.

The game is however on the 7-8th page of the global best seller chart on Steam. This is very very sad for such a promising game. It goes to show that Get Woke Go Broke does happen contrary to what some very out of touch leftists or contrarians claim.
They really could have avoided this but they chose not to. I also heard some very...awful, rumors which I am not allowed to actually talk about yet. But it sounds like the company and developers are fucked.

Also some have suggested that they caved in due to the fact they want to release the game on consoles. Though I sorta doubt this and think it's more likely the PR is out of touch.

Tyler Malka tolerated, even encouraged, these people and let them take over his forum, I'm guessing for financial reasons because they weren't welcome anywhere else. Then their neverending crusade against white men reached his doorstep, and now suddenly he's based af? He was fine with their behaviour and all the people who they targeted and destroyed, right up until the moment it affected him personally. Ditto Lowtax, come to think of it.

They won't. They learnt their lesson since Neogaf. Neogaf was what it was, but it was still quite influential and crowded. Resetera isn't even 1/10 of what Resetera was, in terms of influence and active numbers. If they create another dissident forum, they'll be even smaller and take the risk of dying.

If they somehow manage to learn that Isamu Fukui is a bigot, they'll just ask him to step down and he will, while still taking the money. Fukui is smarter than Malka.

Personally I believe 3DRealms is at fault here and the devs are hating this whole situation. I mean they even advocated piracy so people check out their game which is a bold move.
Them not willing to censor the game redeems them in my book. I did try the pirated version and liked what I played a lot. Might still buy it down the line.
