Here's one for you guys. Not necessarily obscure, but whenever I've mentioned it online, I've had to explain it to all but one person.

To make a very long story short, guy winds up in an alternate universe. Finds out that not only are all 4 of the Beatles still alive, but that they were still making music together. Dude swipes a cassette tape of one of their recent albums and brings it back to our universe.
You can actually listen to this album on the website. (The whole album can also be found on YouTube). In reality, it's a remix album of sorts, using instrumentals and vocal tracks from the band's post breakup solo projects. Not only that, but the end result is actually pretty damn good. There are a couple of songs I legitimately love, with my favorite being "Four Guys".
