Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

>Square announces that Dragon Quest 11 S Definitive Edition bombed in the west and it didn't even chart or come close to Code Vein
>People are fighting tooth and nail for a no effort RPG game that Nintendo and Gamefreak shat out and bought 25 copies to own the haters and because MUH NOSTALGIA instead of buying an actual well made RPG

This is why we can't have nice things.

So what're the sparkles on the Pokemon in the over world for, again? Those are the "special/hidden moves" variety, right? Was wondering since my brother fought a Rookidee that sparkled and it had Roost at level seven, and it was also ridiculously hard to catch to the point he just ended up KO'ing it. But then he got 140 Ws or something like that, and we have no idea what the Ws are for.

Those pokemon will have a few guaranteed perfect IVs and some Egg moves.

I remember all the faggots claiming that Dragon Quest is a Nintendo centric franchise now and because DQ is in smash, Nintendo TRUE FANS will show up in droves and outsell all other ports.

Much like the Pizza Guy I found laying in his car in a ditch OD'd out on fentinyl, they didn't deliver.

Makes me wonder what will happen if Square takes the DQS changes and releases them on PS4 and PC, are they suddenly going to give a shit again and proclaim that square betrayed them?

I figure the same fate awaits SMT5 if it ever gets released.

Gotta love how the shills seem to completely disregard the fact the bug seems to be an issue with the Switch's exFAT driver, and that affects everyone, hackers or not. This guy for example (Archive) is amazingly dense, does he think that there are that many hacked Switches around? Funnily enough, the main Switch hack guide recommends formatting SD Cards as FAT32 in its first page, so he's completely wrong there, too.

It's not the first time I see him, either, he had been arguing with people over the models (can't archive this page for some reason, archived a bunch of his tweets there instead), saying that the textures, mapping and whatnot make them all brand new models.

He does realize that the wire frames are just the outlines of the polygons right? You can apply smoothing to them but they're still polygons. The UV Maps for Textures are the same and if they're that fucking lazy they're not going to try and re-fit the already made texture maps for a slightly different model.

He's talking about lighting so the only thing they would need to probably change is transparencies. Depending on what engine you're using and how post processing may be different, you may need to switch the colors of black and white. Some programs read black as transparent other read white as transparent.

Hell, he took the thread of someone who claims to be a 3D artist for 7 years (of course someone who'd shill like that works at Ubisoft, too) at face value, someone who discredited the leaked models because they came from 4chan. Meanwhile, DJTHED, who has knowledge in the Pokémon models from previous games, and has shown experience in 3D modelling, went and compared various models of Sw/Sh and 3DS, and also described what he considers actually part of a model:

What changes did they make? Did they make it so you don't have to sit there listening to a little ditty for half a minute every time you accomplish some triviality? Because that's why I stopped playing it, they didn't do that to you in 9, or if they did they did a much better job of it.

More likely would be converting them to some pbr lighting model (the newish big thing) but that’s not really an issue beyond baby’s first batch texture conversion and maybe a few minutes per model to tweak levels.

Made it to the Wild Area, and.... eh. It's spacious, I suppose. I don't exactly know what the Watts will buy me from the random trainers there, but I'm not all that interested for the time being. I was more interested in fishing, and I think if I can't find myself a Wooper any time soon, I'll be sticking with Shellder as my Water-type (I have a Magikarp, but it's more for the PokeDex than for my team). I did notice that there was a Frillish that showed up in the background, and it would pause every time I fished. I guess I shouldn't be too surprise, but it was still odd to see. Practically when I first stepped into the Wild Area, I came across a note saying "If you run into a big scary Pokemon, run like the wind!" and I went "lol wut", and.... level 26 Onix. Highest was my Grookey at 12.

I had more fun putting together the League Card, though. Cute idea, will definitely need to be updated when I get around to upgrading the player's appearance. But man, do you always get interrupted/treated like a newbie every time you enter into a new area/city? That's getting old real fast.

You know, the game is scuffed and phoned-in in a number of ways but I want to give credit where credit is due: I really do appreciate that the pool of pokemon you can get before the first gym is huge and I'm pretty sure it includes every type but Steel and Dragon.

You can get a Klink, maybe a Pawniard (I saw a Bisharp and usually there are pre-evolutions in the grass of the fully evolved walking out in the open), and I'm pretty sure I saw a Noibat.

Edit: Bronzor too for sure before first gym(that's where I'm at currently)

I've been musing about something. First of all, I'm 100% convinced SWSH was a 3DS game shoddily ported to Switch halfway through development. Just compare the music between it and Let's Go. LG has a graceful orchestral score that one would come to expect from an HD Pokemon game, but SWSH has weirdly compressed synth pieces that sound like they came from a DS system and just thrown on a console. That and the further evidence that TPC had no faith in the Switch before it made a name for itself. And that's before getting into all the obvious graphical issues.

But anyway, if that is indeed the case I can't help but wonder, why? Why did this not just stay on the 3DS? The first and seemingly obvious answer would be because the 3DS was dying but, this wouldn't have been the first time they made a game for a system who's successor was already on store shelves. That and it's Pokemon, people happily would continue to play an outdated system solely for it. So the hasty ship-jumping decision is rather puzzling. Did Nintendo force their hand? Did TPC? It's such a baffling case to think about.

The compositions are borderline experimental in how weird they are, I always like how they start out but then within 20 minutes of the track it all starts to become tangled like a bunch of wires relegated to an untouched box. It doesn't really work for the type of game Pokemon is since they all just mix into being generic due to that entanglement.
But man, do you always get interrupted/treated like a newbie every time you enter into a new area/city? That's getting old real fast.
yeah that's how the game is structured from what I have seen, it's very similar to how Sun and Moon stopped you every 5 minutes for some scenes.
addendum:
hope you guys playing don't have a roku https://www.reddit.com/r/Roku/comments/dx0lem/my_insignia_roku_tv_is_stuck_in_a_boot_loop/
guess the constant wifi connection is a cluster fuck or something since people are saying it happens to no other game
