Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

GO Fest Day 2 (yes, I know I'm horribly late on this) went well, at 28 Shinies (27 normal encounters with one being a Shiny Rayquaza) caught on Day 2 compared to 27 on Day 1, it appears that the Shiny rate was equal on both days. Mega Rayquaza was the main focus and I managed to get 24 of 'em with one having flawless IVs. The Shiny Pokémon I caught were ones I either caught the day before or I had caught in previous events but I did manage to add one of the newly-released Shinies before the day was out.

Oh, and HOME artwork for The Teal Mask has datamined and leaked.

First off it appears that there is a new form/regional variant for Ursaluna in the DLC, this one having a blood moon motif instead of the full moon motif seen on the ones found in PLA.

Also revealed is Polchageist's evolution. As a lot of people guessed it's basically a cup of matcha tea with Polteageist's tea body incorporated into Sinestea's cup. One little detail I liked is that they added the bamboo whisk to it as a sort of headwear. Oh, and both Polchageist and its evolution have Authentic and Phony forms.

The final thing revealed in the leak is that Ogerpon has the ability to change masks and the hair/arm on its side change color when it swaps masks. We also get a good look Ogerpon's real face and it gives me Clefairy vibes.

And like past HOME leaks the Shiny forms for the new Pokémon were also revealed. Shiny Ursaluna and Shiny Polchageist (along with its evolutions) will should be available normally (the only one I'm shaky on is Ursaluna and that's due to previous leaks mentioning that the "special Pokémon" that Perrin wants to photograph being Ursaluna). The Shiny forms for The Loyal Three and Ogerpon more than likely won't be available in-game and will only be obtainable via events.

Oh, and Terastallized Forms like the one we saw Ogerpon taking in the newest trailer aren't shown in HOME so the chances of The Loyal Three having Sentai-inspired Terastallized Forms in addition to others not revealed are still there.

I've been playing through Violet since last week (I technically got it for free since a friend offered to trade his copy in exchange for some excess TCG stuff) and the main story run was roughly the same as my Scarlet run. As to why I'm doing it it's get easier access to the Violet's Paradox Pokémon and to double-dip on Mightiest Mark Pokémon.

Oh, and apparently I missed out on some key details that were datamined beforehand, here's the good stuff.
Scarlet Dex entries are first while Violet Dex entries are second.

#1011: Dipplin
- Dipplin is two creatures in one Pokémon. Its evolution was triggered by a special apple grown only in one place.
- The head sticking out belongs to the fore-wyrm, while the tail belongs to the core-wyrm. The two share one apple and help each other out.

#1012: Poltchageist (Unremarkable Form)
- Supposedly, the regrets of a tea ceremony master who died before perfecting his craft lingered in some matcha and became a Pokémon.
- Poltchageist looks like a regional form of Sinistea, but it was recently discovered that the two Pokémon are entirely unrelated.

#1012: Poltchageist (Masterpiece Form)
- It sprinkles some of its powdery body onto food and drains the life-force from those who so much as lick it.
- It has taken up residence in a very expensive tea caddy. It takes an expert to distinguish the expensive tea caddies from the cheap ones.

#1013: Sinistcha (Unremarkable Form)
- It pretends to be tea, trying to fool people into drinking it so it can drain their life-force. Its ruse is generally unsuccessful.
- It prefers cool, dark places, such as the back of a shelf or the space beneath a home's floorboards. It wanders in search of prey after sunset.

#1013: Sinistcha (Masterpiece Form)
- It lives inside a superb teacup that was crafted by a potter of great renown. Collectors positively adore this Pokémon.
- The more stirring it does with the tea whisk on its head, the more energy it builds up. It does this to prepare for battle.

#1014: Okidogi
- After all its muscles were stimulated by the toxic chain around its neck, Okidogi transformed and gained a powerful physique.
- Okidogi is a ruffian with a short temper. It can pulverize anything by swinging around the chain on its neck.

#1015: Munkidori
- The chain is made from toxins that enhance capabilities. It stimulated Munkidori's brain and caused the Pokémon's psychic powers to bloom.
- Munkidori keeps itself somewhere safe while it toys with its foes, using psychokinesis to induce intense dizziness.

#1016: Fezandipiti
- Fezandipiti owes its beautiful looks and lovely voice to the toxic stimulants emanating from the chain wrapped around its body.
- Fezandipiti beats its glossy wings to scatter pheromones that captivate people and Pokémon.

#1017: Ogerpon (Teal Mask form)
- This Pokémon's type changes based on which mask it's wearing. It confounds its enemies with nimble movements and kicks.
- This mischief-loving Pokémon is full of curiosity. It battles by drawing out the type-based energy contained within its masks.

#1017: Ogerpon (Wellspring Mask form)
- This form excels in both attack and defense. It ceaselessly unleashes moves like a spring gushes water.
- In this form, it draws on the power of water. It attacks unrelentingly with kicks and ivy strikes.

#1017: Ogerpon (Heartflame Mask form)
- This form is the most aggressive, bombarding enemies with the intensity of flames blazing within a hearth.
- In this form, it draws on the power of fire. It spears its enemies with thorn-covered ivy.

#1017: Ogerpon (Cornerstone Mask form)
- This form has excellent defenses, absorbing impacts solidly like the cornerstones that support houses.
- In this form, it draws on the power of stone. Its body is rock-solid, protecting it from all manner of attacks.

Bloodmoon Ursaluna
- It crossed the sea and drifted ashore in a new land. Surviving in this place led it to take on a unique appearance and gain special powers.
-This special Ursaluna can see in the dark with its left eye and protects itself with mud that is as hard as iron.
- Blood Moon
The user unleashes the full brunt of its spirit from a full moon that shines as red as blood. This move can't be used twice in a row.

- Matcha Gotcha
The user fires a blast of tea that it mixed. The user's HP is restored by up to half the damage taken by the target. This may also leave the target with a burn.

- Syrup Bomb
The user sets off an explosion of sticky candy syrup, which coats the target and causes the target's Speed stat to drop each turn for three turns.

- Ivy Cudgel
The user strikes with an ivy-wrapped cudgel. This move's type changes depending on the mask worn by the user, and it has a heightened chance of landing a critical hit.
Mind's Eye (Bloodmoon Ursaluna)
The Pokémon ignores changes to opponents' evasiveness, its accuracy can't be lowered, and it can hit Ghost types with Normal-type and Fighting-type moves.

Supersweet Syrup (Dipplin) A sickly sweet scent spreads across the field the first time the Pokémon enters a battle, lowering the evasiveness of opposing Pokémon.

Hospitality (Poltchageist, Sinistcha)
When the Pokémon enters a battle, it showers its ally with hospitality, restoring a small amount of the ally's HP.

Toxic Chain (Loyal Three)
The power of the Pokémon's toxic chain may badly poison any target the Pokémon hits with a move.

Embody Aspect (Teal Mask Ogerpon)
The Pokémon's heart fills with memories, causing the Teal Mask to shine and the Pokémon's Speed stat to be boosted.

Embody Aspect (Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon)
The Pokémon's heart fills with memories, causing the Hearthflame Mask to shine and the Pokémon's Attack stat to be boosted.

Embody Aspect (Wellspring Mask Ogerpon)
The Pokémon's heart fills with memories, causing the Wellspring Mask to shine and the Pokémon's Sp. Def stat to be boosted.

Embody Aspect (Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon) The Pokémon's heart fills with memories, causing the Cornerstone Mask to shine and the Pokémon's Defense stat to be boosted.

The "Masked Forme" that Ogerpon takes in the trailers isn't actually a real Forme, it's just story-related stuff.

You obtain the Loyal Three as you play through The Teal Mask's story. Centro mentions that they're not classified as Legendary or Mythical Pokémon but I'll take that with a grain of salt.

White-Striped Basculin are found in Kitakami, apparently surviving whatever caused the rest of Hisui's regional variants and evolutions (barring Ursaluna as seen earlier) to disappear.

In light of 'the good stuff', I shall temporarily pretend that I can put all of the new mon in my hack.
  • Teddiursa's evolution stays the same. However, Ursaring would evolve into Hisuian Ursaluna through the Moon Stone because of the Moon motif or Paldean Ursaluna through the Poison Stone because of the lethality impiled wi the Blood Moon.
  • Galarian Sinistea would evolve wi the Leaf Stone because of tea leaves, while 'Paldean' Sinistea would probably still evolve wi the Poison Stone, since the 'Paldean' lin emphasises lethality, though I may use the Moon Stone, instead.
  • Because Ogerpon's transformations heavily depend on transforming the current forme, I plan on ly putting Teal Ogerpon, since the DLC is titled 'The Teal Mask'. This also means that Ivy Cudgel would only have one type.
  • Because of the lack of abilities, Paldean Ursaluna would get Foresight, Dipplin would get Sweet Scent, and the Toxic Trio would get Toxic instead. 'Paldean' Polteageist has an ability that i supposed to work with an ally, hence 'Paldean' Polteageist would not get a move replacement.
  • Do not expect Bascul in my hack.
  • I plan on holding off any cuts until the secon DLC gets released in case more new Pokémon get released there.
  • Blood Moon would just be Hyper Beam with differen typing.
  • I am not sure how I am going to implement Syrup Bomb in GBC assembly.
EDIT: Looking a this again, I think that I can go back to the original plans. The three Tatsugiri would be redundant, since the only difference in formes is th effec tha they give Dondozo during the Order Up move, which is not in this hack because that depends on Double Battles. That frees up 2 additional slots, which, coincidentally, lets me add Poltchageist/'Paldean' Polteageist and Paldean Ursaluna, though that stil leaves the rest of the Teddiursa line.

First off it appears that there is a new form/regional variant for Ursaluna in the DLC, this one having a blood moon motif instead of the full moon motif seen on the ones found in PLA.
Never heard of this until now, and I'm actually very glad I haven't. Holy shit, that looks so much better than regular Ursaluna it isn't even funny. I still think the permanent clay is stupid, I'm not a fan of the beard spikes either... but everything else about this is better.
The eyes are scarier (as they should be). The stupid thing is back on two legs so it doesn't stick out nearly as much (at least Samurott had an excuse). Those CLAWS look like they could KILL SOMETHING and I LIKE THAT
This is way better! In almost every way! Thank fuck I finally have another SV mon to like so that I don't gaslight myself into thinking the rest of the dex is any better!!

...but, wait, if this is an Ursaluna form, is it still technically a gen 8 mon...? A regional form..? ffffuck, no, please just give me ONE OTHER original SV design to like, PLEASE...
Also revealed is Polchageist's evolution. As a lot of people guessed it's basically a cup of matcha tea with Polteageist's tea body incorporated into Sinestea's cup. One little detail I liked is that they added the bamboo whisk to it as a sort of headwear. Oh, and both Polchageist and its evolution have Authentic and Phony forms.
lmao told you suckers
I'll be honest though, this actually looks better than Polteageist. Like, enough that I don't hate it. The bamboo hat-and-hair a bit humanish for my taste but it's sort of silly and I like that. Having the bamboo splinter off into strands that look like hair is a much better way of giving a Polteageist equivalent a hat. I also appreciate that its body is far more amorphous; aside from the hands, it's pretty much just a blob. I find that infinitely more endearing than Polteageist's weird halfway point, where it has a sort of tubish body that looks human enough to be weird but not blobby enough to look like it's made of tea, y'know?

That fucking name is atrocious though. Sinistcha? Really? Matchageist would've sounded infinitely better!! I get that they were trying to pull a funny on us and swap the names of the evolutions with their prevolutions to be cheekier about how they're basically doing regional variants but not really doing regional variants, but come onnnnn.
Also not a fan that they're bringing that dumb mark gimmick back but I don't care that much. It's based on Polteageist so that was probably bound to happen. I just think it's dumb.
The final thing revealed in the leak is that Ogerpon has the ability to change masks and the hair/arm on its side change color when it swaps masks. We also get a good look Ogerpon's real face and it gives me Clefairy vibes.
>it's literally just a little girl
this makes me unreasonably mad
calling that thing a Clefairy is an odd choice? It reminds me a lot more of Pumpkaboo...
...but anyways, I need to be mad for a second.

STOP MAKING GRASS WAIFUS, GAMEFREAK. PLEASE.
THEY'RE SO FUCKING BORING AND ALMOST ALL OF THEIR CONCEPTS WOULD BE BETTER-OFF AS ANYTHING BUT LITTLE LADIES DRESSED IN PETALS.
Ogerpon? Could've been a fucking trollish abomination that hides its face behind prettier-looking masks to give it a built-in insecurity or trickster personality! A genuine monster that knows it and combats that reputation by hiding behind prettier things!
Tsareena? Almost entirely redundant with Lilligant existing, especially in its Hisuian form! The Mangosteen pun wasn't worth it! Even sticking to grass waifu territory, it could've expanded on Bounsweet and used Mangosteen as bombs or something! It could've been known to be more manic, more unpredictable, more of a brat? I don't know!
Dolliv? Could've looked more like a sapling or some shit! The Kokeshi doll bit of it could've been spun off into something else! Maybe a weird cross-over with voodoo dolls that's pure-ghost and has a pin through its hair like voodoo dolls do through various sensitive bits!
This stupid fucking concept is so overdone, it makes me sick! It's so obvious, too, that most of these aren't added because they add to the world or the team though they'd be cool. It's coom bait, through and through. Tsareena is specifically designed to be a dominatrix (as is Hisuian Lilligant and arguably two other non-grass types). Eldegoss is specifically designed to look like an old lady which shouldn't be waifu material but the internet is just hell with a different face so it is. Ogerpon... looks like a little girl...
...I'm going to stop there, but all this shit is so clearly designed to appeal to a certain type of dude who plays r34 more than he does the actual games. It's so fucking played out by this point and I wish it'd just stop. Every new plant that looks like a human female in some respect is a waste of a slot and not even Ogerpon's dogshit gimmick of having a whole tale based around it saves this damn design.

Just... ugh. I guess it looks cute. I like the fangs. The masks are probably fire/steel/water/grass respectively. Don't know why they chose steel instead of electric when going with the standard starter trio otherwise? I guess they wanted to give it some competitive viability, like always.
Fucking waste of a legendary.
That shiny quote is a guarantee, just due to how GF has handled shiny legendaries for the past 10+ years at this point. It was all over the moment they shiny-locked Reshiram and Zekrom in base BW.
Anyways, these forms look fine I guess. Ursaluna's red fits this form way more than it does the base one. Applin's looks cute. I don't know why they did beige/orange/navy blue for the Sentai trio, none of them look good.

Oh, and Terastallized Forms like the one we saw Ogerpon taking in the newest trailer aren't shown in HOME so the chances of The Loyal Three having Sentai-inspired Terastallized Forms in addition to others not revealed are still there.
I think you're being a bit optimistic, seeing as the "evil" forms we saw and speculated the same thing about were literally just weird facial morphs they could do in their attack animations, but I'm hesitant to completely dismiss you here because you have a point and they need to promote their new gimmick hard.

#1011: Dipplin
- Dipplin is two creatures in one Pokémon. Its evolution was triggered by a special apple grown only in one place.
- The head sticking out belongs to the fore-wyrm, while the tail belongs to the core-wyrm. The two share one apple and help each other out.
this is stupid and I like it but it doesn't save the design
#1014: Okidogi
- After all its muscles were stimulated by the toxic chain around its neck, Okidogi transformed and gained a powerful physique.
- Okidogi is a ruffian with a short temper. It can pulverize anything by swinging around the chain on its neck.
okay, so probably poison/fighting
#1015: Munkidori
- The chain is made from toxins that enhance capabilities. It stimulated Munkidori's brain and caused the Pokémon's psychic powers to bloom.
- Munkidori keeps itself somewhere safe while it toys with its foes, using psychokinesis to induce intense dizziness.
absolutely poison/psychic (idk why they're making so many of those now)
#1016: Fezandipiti
- Fezandipiti owes its beautiful looks and lovely voice to the toxic stimulants emanating from the chain wrapped around its body.
- Fezandipiti beats its glossy wings to scatter pheromones that captivate people and Pokémon.
posion/fairy?

#1017: Ogerpon (Teal Mask form)

- This Pokémon's type changes based on which mask it's wearing. It confounds its enemies with nimble movements and kicks.
- This mischief-loving Pokémon is full of curiosity. It battles by drawing out the type-based energy contained within its masks.
probably dark/[mask type]

#1017: Ogerpon (Wellspring Mask form)
- This form excels in both attack and defense. It ceaselessly unleashes moves like a spring gushes water.
- In this form, it draws on the power of water. It attacks unrelentingly with kicks and ivy strikes.
okay, so it might be going for a deoxys-like thing where its stats also change based on the form- I guess that's fine, though I'm a little disappointed

#1017: Ogerpon (Heartflame Mask form)
- This form is the most aggressive, bombarding enemies with the intensity of flames blazing within a hearth.
- In this form, it draws on the power of fire. It spears its enemies with thorn-covered ivy.
alright
(why is every mask aside from the titular one going by a completely different naming scheme? Heartflame, Cornerstone, Wellspring... Teal? At least they all share a Teal portion I guess.)

#1017: Ogerpon (Cornerstone Mask form)
- This form has excellent defenses, absorbing impacts solidly like the cornerstones that support houses.
- In this form, it draws on the power of stone. Its body is rock-solid, protecting it from all manner of attacks.
Ohhh, this is rock and not steel. Alright, that's fine. As long as it's not trying to be Ferrothorn 2 i'm more open to the idea. That design really does scream Steel, though...

Bloodmoon Ursaluna
- It crossed the sea and drifted ashore in a new land. Surviving in this place led it to take on a unique appearance and gain special powers.
-This special Ursaluna can see in the dark with its left eye and protects itself with mud that is as hard as iron.
So I guess this is what happens when an Ursaring evolves in SV. Alright. I don't know how the fuck something like that would've crossed the sea, especially while retaining (and even gaining) some mud bits... then again, Walruses are fat fucks that can somehow swim, so I guess that's how... idk.
Weird how only its left eye can see in the dark. Weird how this implies Ursaluna normally can't. Don't bears have pretty decent nightvision?

- Blood Moon
The user unleashes the full brunt of its spirit from a full moon that shines as red as blood. This move can't be used twice in a row.
Glaive Rush 2. Wonder what the typing will be?

- Matcha Gotcha
The user fires a blast of tea that it mixed. The user's HP is restored by up to half the damage taken by the target. This may also leave the target with a burn.
Jesus christ. Burn + Recover-tier Healing? This thing better be like 50BP or it'll just end up being the new Scald.

- Syrup Bomb
The user sets off an explosion of sticky candy syrup, which coats the target and causes the target's Speed stat to drop each turn for three turns.
We already know about this one and it still sucks. Imagine invalidating every single stat-lowering status move by just making a move that gradually halves speed with a single hit.

- Ivy Cudgel
The user strikes with an ivy-wrapped cudgel. This move's type changes depending on the mask worn by the user, and it has a heightened chance of landing a critical hit.
Par for the course, still dumb. Ffs I hate this new mentality of gimmick moves so so much. I realize that if it didn't have the crit chance it'd be instantly outclassed by Tera Blast and I don't care because it's still stupid. One gimmick per move is already stretching it, two is just too much.

Mind's Eye (Bloodmoon Ursaluna)
The Pokémon ignores changes to opponents' evasiveness, its accuracy can't be lowered, and it can hit Ghost types with Normal-type and Fighting-type moves.
WHY. WHY DO WE NEED SCRAPPY + KEEN EYE ON A MON ALREADY PROVEN TO BE BROKEN AS FUCK BY DEFAULT. THIS IS STUPID.

Supersweet Syrup (Dipplin) A sickly sweet scent spreads across the field the first time the Pokémon enters a battle, lowering the evasiveness of opposing Pokémon.
Already know about this and it's dumb. Not as ridiculously fucking dumb as something like Mind's Eye, but still dumb.

Hospitality (Poltchageist, Sinistcha)
When the Pokémon enters a battle, it showers its ally with hospitality, restoring a small amount of the ally's HP.
See above, but even less dumb. Looks like it heals 1/16th of HP or something- definitely no more than 1/8th- and being restricted to only work in double battles is more than enough balancing for an ability like this. I still lament that this family probably won't get a secondary ability that works in singles, but that's whatever.

Toxic Chain (Loyal Three)

The power of the Pokémon's toxic chain may badly poison any target the Pokémon hits with a move.
We already know about this, too, aaaand yeah. Ridiculous and dumb. Who needs Toxic when you can just spam attacks constantly? Who needs Poison Touch when you can just be better than it?

Embody Aspect (Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon)
The Pokémon's heart fills with memories, causing the Cornerstone Mask to shine and the Pokémon's Defense stat to be boosted.
Weird description but okay. It'll probably be explained by the story. I don't know why we need more Totem Pokémon retreading, if nothing else these kinds of abilities should've just been merged all into one new "Aura" mechanic or something that empowers mon identically to the Totems without bloating the Abilitydex so insanely like it's doing now.

- Kitakami Road
- Mossui Town
- Loyalty Plaza
- Reveler's Road
- Kitakami Hall
- Oni Mountain
- Dreaded Den
- Oni's Maw
- Crystal Pool
- Oni Mountain Summit
- Wistful Fields
- Mossfell Confluence
- Fellhorn Gorge
- Paradise Barrens
- Kitakami Wilds
- Timeless Woods
- Infernal Pass
- Chilling Waterhead
That's, like, 20 locations, yeah? Not bad tbh, though it's also counting individual roads and plazas so it probably looks like there's more than there actually is. Very interested in anything without plains/woods/wilds at the end because that means it might be a new biome, but I have rock-bottom expectations and am looking forward to one copy-paste of the rocky and mountainous sections in Paldea + one new location at best.

The "Masked Forme" that Ogerpon takes in the trailers isn't actually a real Forme, it's just story-related stuff.
Dumb and stupid. I hope you don't mean something like Eternamax Eternatus or Ultra Necrozma that you can barely use in normal gameplay, if at all, because I am so damn sick of Pokemon sliding more and more into the worst tropes of other mon-catching games. Uncatchable bosses are the bane of my existence in these things and hearing that there might be a new one is ticking me off more than it should. As is all of this, really. Why do I find wasting my life on these write-ups fun.

You obtain the Loyal Three as you play through The Teal Mask's story. Centro mentions that they're not classified as Legendary or Mythical Pokémon but I'll take that with a grain of salt.
Centro is a retard who thought an Animal Crossing screenshot was a genuine leak from BDSP and gets pissed off at Khu doing anything while simultaneously stealing 80% of his content. If you'd mentioned that these were from him earlier, I would've already taken all this with a grain of salt from the get-go.
Granted, the first part of this leak is so basic and obvious that it's probably right, but them not being Legendaries or Mythicals (less-so the latter) is a lot more questionable, especially if they're not Ultra Beasts. I pray that these aren't ANOTHER new classification, because this is getting to be so convoluted that it's hard to follow, and I was already sick of the Ultra Beasts being repeatedly declassified and reclassified as Legendaries since their debut and don't want a repeat of that whole mess.

White-Striped Basculin are found in Kitakami, apparently surviving whatever caused the rest of Hisui's regional variants and evolutions (barring Ursaluna as seen earlier) to disappear.
Don't think about it too hard, worldbuilding is the only weak point Pokémon has consistently had throughout its life that never got better in any respect whatsoever. This poor world was torn at the seams the moment Masuda took the reins (no matter how much I tend to love his games) and was already questionable when Johto mon were introduced as "newly-discovered" despite multiple having long-standing myths tied to them.

It's the whole reason that the creative fan community is so INSANELY huge. The basic premise is the only consistency- the fact that humans live alongside Pokémon and battle with them to evolve each one for the dex- so everyone ignores what remains and does whatever they want with what remains. Things as basic as locations on a map or local economies are left completely ambiguous save for two or so instances (all of which are in Johto), so it leads to a bunch of wildly different interpretations that everyone still accepts as fact because 1) this franchise is unconditionally beloved solely by cocksucking retards and children, neither of whom question anything and 2) there's usually nothing contradicting the interpretations that hasn't already been repeatedly contradicted elsewhere in the franchise.

EDIT: Ogerpon is likely Ghost/[mask type] and my other predictions seem to have been correct.

wait why does every new mon save for Dripplin and Sinistcha have eyeliner? why do so many mon in general have built-in eyeliner now? It seems to have been a thing since gen 8 and idk why
I don’t mind it much, I’m just confused

EDIT: To be clear, I don’t mean markings around the eye in general, I mean specifically black outlines surrounding the sclera and often ending in a sharp point. I’m well aware that “eyeliner” in the former definition has been a thing since gen 2 and arguably since gen 1, I mean this specific type that’s grown more prominent over time for whatever reason.
I’m actually a fan of the stuff because I’m a no-good edgy bastard but using it so excessively where it doesn’t belong (or add much to the design despite that) like with most of these wears the aesthetic out.

Because of @Anonitolia's comment:
  • My hack is going with 'Matchageist' instead of 'Sinistcha'.
  • There will be no Shiny lock, though I was not going to put one, anyway.
  • I am going to make Ogerpon's design more 'ogrish abomination'. Since Ogerpon's mask is not going to be that significant in gameplay, then I might just make Ogerpon unmasked.
Anonitolia's comment about 'Grass Waifus' just reminded me of Lyleen from Palworld.

I thought this was just a straight demake?

I thought this was just a straight demake?
...around 95%. I already had to do some changes because I am cramming a Switch game into GB (not even GBC) hardware, though I already had some 'improvements' in mind.
  • From what you can see, I could not put every Pokémon in the game. I have decided early that I was just going to focus on putting Paldean Pokémon and non-Paldean Pokémon that were linked to Paldean Pokémon. Anything extra would be betamon and Paradox formes that pad ou the Pokédex and add type coverage. Moreover, I would have to change any evolution methods that are too new, including the Let's Go mechanic and Gimmighoul's method. Even then, I took some creative liberties, since Beta Wooper would hav evolved into Johtonian or Paldean Wooper depending on the Stone used.
  • I also omitted some moves, even after I found a way of expanding the available moveset, since some moves are mean to work with modern ga mechanics. (Order Up would not work outside of a Double Battle).
  • Because one of the big problems of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were that, despite the open world, there wa still a set order where you would progress the story, I decided to add railroading to the proper order. Gym Leaders require a number of Gym Badges. Team Star make up excuses that cover up how they do not wan to bully someone 'weak'. The Titans have overworld obstacles that depend on the HM functions from the previous Titans.
  • Because the Let's Go mechanic is too new and complicated, the Team Star sessions would just be regular battles with a Bug Contes timer.
That being said, there is no guarantee that I am going to do the name change or the design change, since th is more a Pragmatic Adaptation.

And we now have stats, typings, and Hidden Abilities (if they have 'em, of course) for the new Pokémon thanks to an unknown source that may be from the same Discord groups that leaked stuff relating to base SV before release and some stuff will be covered again for completeness's sake. Like all “leaks” take 'em with a grain of salt since these could not only be fake but, if the initial stats for the Treasures of Ruin are any indication, could be altered before release.

Embody Aspect: The Pokémon's heart fills with memories, causing the [Teal/Wellspring/Hearthflame/Cornerstone] Mask to shine and the Pokémon's [Speed/Special Defense/Attack/Defense] stat to be boosted.

Ivy Cudgel: The user strikes with an ivy-wrapped cudgel. This move's type changes depending on the mask worn by the user, and it has a heightened chance of landing a critical hit.

Ogerpon is basically going to be banished to Ubers once Smogon gets a hold of it and it'll be a powerful tool in VGC. It's also worth noting that Houndstone taught a lot of players to be wary of Last Respects so expect that to be a major problem.

Whoops.
I keep forgetting to say that, in my hack, there will be no splitting the Sinistea/Sinistcha lines into Phony/Unremarkable and Antique/Masterpiece. Those differences are simply ignored, since all tha they affect is a very smal label and their evolution method. They ar exactly the same otherwise.

I also might do something about Past Raikou's design, bu there is no guarantee ther, either.

On those leaks...
Wait. The Loyal Three actually learn Toxic and Ipplin actually learn Sweet Scent, even though their Abilities automatically has them inflic those moves? At least Paldean Ursaring does not learn Foresight.
I am surprised that one can simply customise their Ogerpon by having the Ogerpon learn a move, swap the mask, then learn other, though later, moves. I actually found out abou this when I planned in my hack on havin Gardevoir and Gallade volve into their Future Counterpart, which moves would be definitely influenced ifferently by its pre-evolution.

Normal/Steel
wait what? This is getting retarded, absolutely nothing about that design suggests Steel in any way shape or form. I don’t understand GameFreak’s mad dash to add every single unused type combo into the game whether it makes sense or not, especially when they’re actively detrimental to designs like this (and every single fighting type from this generation and partially the last) is. Please, dear god, somebody fire the entire in-game mon (moves/abilities/typings/etc) design department, they’re clearly terrible at their jobs.

1. Blood Moon
1. Headlong Rush
>lmao let’s just give this new form both an extremely OP signature move similar to the region’s Pseudo Legendary’s while also giving it the extremely OP signature move of its base form surely nothing can go wrong here

(Weak Armor [Unremarkable form])/(Shell Armor [Masterpiece form])
72. Happy Hour [Unremarkable form]
72. Celebrate [Masterpiece form]
>lmao let’s just make extremely rare forms of regular Pokémon have different level-up moves and abilities than their more common forms to squeeze more replay time out of our rabid fanbase of retarded collectors so that people who want a specific ability or move on their mon will be eternally frustrated at their mon not being able to have an ability or move that its species could learn under different circumstances despite how many steps we’ve taken to prevent that and nobody will notice that there is literally nothing else to do in this scummy excuse for a video game
>and while we’re at it let’s reintroduce an old event-only move that literally does nothing into a normal mon’s in-game learnset to simultaneously hurt those collectors by “devaluing their mon” using their own retarded logic
>????????????

the only saving grace here is that Masterpiece’s move and ability are both objectively worse than Unremarkable’s in most contexts
the ability is debatably less objectively worse since Shell Armor is still quite good, but I think Weak Armor is better in competitive and isn’t horrible on its own so

Poison/Fighting
Poison/Psychic
Poison/Fairy
my clairvoyance strikes once more :smug:

80. Last Respects
yeah that thing’s going to UUBL immediately lol
Houndstone already got decimated simply for having STAB on the damn move, imagine what STAB from a legendary with automatic stat-boosting abilities could do

one last thing I nearly forgot:
(Cornerstone Mask)
Ghost/Rock
I am almost impressed by how spectacularly I have been pissed off by how this generation’s decided to hand out the new type combos
like yeah give the fat overgrown 2000s Raichu OC with no reason to exist and the worst design of any pikaclone (the lowest fucking bar in the series, mind you) an electric/fighting type despite the previous gen’s Zapdos regional variant, Furrybait Mythical The Fourth from the gen before that one focusing entirely around punching and big meaty claws, and the literal raging ape-ogre thing known for its physical violence all existing
and make the ghost/rock type introduced solely with a shitty mask form that barely justifies it despite the literal dead coral, undead stone inscription, and the skeletal dog with a literal tombstone on its head all coming out within the last 2 fucking generations
If the Fighting type no longer means anything outside of “this mon punches hard”, give it to the fucking Ostrich with tree-trunk legs that rapes shit just by staring at it and is known for attacking with kicks
If a combination of Ghost/Rock won’t apply to literal living rocks in any way shape or form, why establish what it should be with a fucking gimmick form that doesn’t clarify anything outside of “this legendary sucks dick and we really need more ideas outside of type changing to sell our flagship DLC legends with”?
I had this exact same type-debut issue with Rotom and its forms, and it’s a substantial part of why I still don’t like that static orange sperm to this day (and Galarian Darmanitan by proxy), so seeing the issue only become more and more prevalent as the series continues onward is just another straw to add to the long-segregated spine of this poor dead camel

sigh
maybe someday this series will finally fucking die
or be well and truly rebooted so that the newer stuff can take on a life of its own and just be ignored
some day…

(double-posting for another round of Teal Mask spoilers)
supposedly the entire Teal Mask pokedex has leaked, revealing every returning mon, every new form, and mon… already in the base Paldean dex added in, for some reason.

linking to a dogshit article on the matter because I’m away from home and can’t copy the entire list without a bigger screen, I’ll probably copy-paste it in a week or so once circumstances have changed
This is probably like how gen 8 had specific dexes for each of it's DLC areas. So this is the DLC 1 dex.
