While politics obviously intersects with many of the cows and community watch threads and therefore can't be totally avoided, some people don't come here to laugh at idiots cows but to sperg about politics. I've seen a few posters say they never post anywhere but off topic or news threads, which really should be a secondary part of the site if it all.
The worst threads on the site are the politically motivated ones. There are a thousand other sites to discuss that shit, let the rest of us have escapism in dumb people on the internet

I feel this can easily be solved by doing a few things.
1. Set the site to invite-only
2. Make it so accounts from 2021-2022 (the shittening caused by /pol/ cunts from the elections, Wings, Chris, Keffals spergs) are set to a daily post-limit of like 2-3 posts so they can't just shit the place up all day.
3. Set it so 2021 and onwards accounts have to prove to understand the sites culture before they get full posting priveleges..- you can still enjoy the site and be a lurker.
This should cut down the amount of faggoty cunts that are not getting the picture.

for those proposing limiting registrations to invite-only, null has stated that he personally invited anyone who asked while registrations were closed last year. why would he waste his time vetting strangers, when he can simply tag their profiles, leave them to be ridiculed for their ineptitude, or ban them outright when they cross the line?
